RE: Horizon: Forbidden West first impressions

in Hive Gaminglast year

there is no work around for it. Some of the forums said they patched it but I have the latest version of the game and it is still there. Apparently it doesn't happen to everyone it just kind of depends on where the NPC's happen to be standing when the fight ends. IF they are in the "wrong" place they can't make a path to where they are supposed to be to have the chat. This seems kind of sloppy in an otherwise very polished game.

O.O well not much i can comment on this since I didn't play but i understand how it would be an issue :/ for people that played and knowing that its not their fault. it's hard to find perfection anyways i think u are used to it now :P

even in the best games there are going to be things that just screw up. On the PS4 there is a BSOD (blue screen of death) that happens in some games and well, there is nothing that you can do about that. I've had some failures that were so extreme that the only choice I had was to physically unplug the console from the wall.

o.o that happens on laptop without even playing games lol. even with those problems we still play right :D. did u ever feature games with BSOD or did i just not see it

I probably did feature a game like that. One that really sticks out in my mind but can't remember the name of it was this RPG type of game where you only have 3 lives and when the game BSOD'd, you would lose a life. Ah, I just remembered the name of it. It was called "Fade to Silence" and it was an incredible concept but the game was fucked. it was made by THQ-Nordiq which is a company that is pretty well-known for releasing games that are not complete and then never fixing the problems if the game didn't sell well.

It combined RPG with survival horror and even base-building and defense against invaders every now and then. The biggest problem was that most of the defense aspects of the game were completely unnecessary because the AI on the attackers was completely broken. They would just stand where they spawned and never even approach your base. It was stupid and they never bothered to patch it. It's a shame because that could have been an amazing game.

lol i think the name of the game is funny. the devs faded to silence :). never heard of THQ nordiq :') i only remember blizzard and activision from my web2 days and nintendo, squareenix and sega i think cant really recall other names. probably mostly the big name companies

The concept seems great though because i think a lot of people like survival games and the strategy behind it. I loved playing call of duty zombies. it was fun trying ti kite the zombie and surviving . not sure how others feel tho :x
