Elden Ring fans, the time has come! The big story addon for Elden Ring has been officially announced and is called Shadow of the Earth Tree.
The developers announced this via Twitter – but they are still stingy with further information.
But what could Shadow of the Erdtree be about? A first hint is of course the title: "Shadow of the Erdtree" . Anyone who has set foot in Elden Ring has seen it - the huge golden tree that towers high into the sky and floods the gloomy lands with light.
The memories of deceased demigods and great heroes are woven into this tree. There is a lot of potential here for stories that have yet to be sung
The second clue is the character Miquella, Malenia's twin brother, who can be seen in the first teaser image. So it's very likely that Shadow of the Erdtree's story will be intertwined with its story.
Last but not least, previous addons for Dark Souls and Bloodborne can also give a hint as to how we can envision Shadow of The Erdtree. The story expansions add an average of around 8 hours of additional playtime with new areas, enemies, loot and lots of lore.

Super excited for this. This really hints at Miquella being Torrents old master since he's riding him, which again means Miquella has some sort of connection to Ranni and most likely Melina being related to them as well. I'm most excited about learning more about the lore for sure.
