Genesis League Soccer
Hello hive, hello everyone, hello gamers, I come once again to talk a bit more on the Genesis League Goals. I wrote about this about a week ago introducing everyone to the game's website and explaining some of the features. Today, let's look at Genesis League's white paper.
After you have succesfully registered and logged into the game, you see a homepage with some features but you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see "Read the whitepaper" as has been shown in the image below. Click on it.
Genesis League Goals
The whitepaper loads with several sectionns explaining the game. Click on whichever to start. The last time this whitepaper was edited was a year ago so we are getting a kind of up to date document.
Whitepaper
So, starting from Introduction as the page displays, we are told that the concept of the game has been brought to us by creators of splinterlands and Genesis League Soccer who have partnered with Major League Soccers Players Association (MLSPA) to create a tactic game like splinterkands that will make use of NFTs, crypto and the hive blockchain. It was also stated that in the first presale, only hive and paypal will be the acceptable payment methods for packs.
Th next thing to look at in the whitepaper is the game overview. Basically, the game will work based on how football or as called by most Americans, Soccer is played. Players will be allowed to make decisions each round on how to advance or progress with the ball towards their opponent's half, defend their side of the pitch and also try to score the opposing team. A victory will grant you some rewards which we will talk about in later paragraphs.
Game Overview
Gameplay in the whitepaper explains that every player will enter the game with a team of 31 members; 30 players and 1 coach. Unlike in real world football with 11 starters, players will have up to 7 starters, 5 substitutes during the match and 10 reserve players. Players will need player cards and coach cards to proceed where palyer cards are available in both regular and gold foils.
Gameplay
Under gameplay we have cards and rewards. Each of the player cards can be combined as we have in splinterlands but this time combining or duplicating cards will gove you more experience points or XP. These will unlock new slots.
Cards
Rewards will be given to players for winning their matches or for accomplishing other in game tasks. GLX and XP are the main rewards but other rewards are available like costemtics and drinks.
Rewards
There is also pack tokenomics for 2023 season and reward pools in the whitepaper but I will leave that for a later post and talk about the game terminolgies. For those who are not used to football language, this part of the whitepaper will really help. However, not only football terms are here but also terminologies in the game. For example, cosmetics (NFTs) are "visual graphic NFTs that affect the vanity side of the card but do not affect gameplay". Also, combining is "the action of combining cards to create cards of greater value". Combining will burn all cards used in the combine except the main card.
Terminology
So, this is a review of the whitepaper of the Genesis League Soccer of which I excluded 2 things. I will talk about those in another post.
Thank you.
