Hello friends, hello hivians, hello splinterlands community and hello game lovers, it’s that time again where we share our splinterlands content. In this week’s community challenge, we are writing a support article but this time we are writing about a new feature which is the custom set feature. Let's get into it.
First of all, let's locate this new feature. Go to the main page of the splinterlands game and select market which is at the top left of the page. Market is the third feature from the list of features. When you select market, a drop down menu appears containing more features. From these, click of set rentals.
As a quick recap, set rentals is a new feature that was added to the game to make renting cards easier for new players. The old system for renting cards is still in place which is still good when you want to rent a specific card but set rentals was added to make renting easier for old and especially new players since most of them wouldn't know exactly what kind of cards to get immediately they start the game.
Out of these options that we see when you click on set rentals, you will see custom as part of the options. It is the last one as part of this list and clicking on view will give you more details about this feature.
After clicking on view, you can see the players that have made cards available for rentals and how much it costs per day in both $DEC and $CREDICTS. What's nice about custom sets is that they can include cards from any expansion. They can also contain any combination of cards and levels.
At the time of writing, 16 custom sets were available which ranged from 5 cards from saachi at a cost of $5 DEC to 49 cards from seattlea at a cost of $50 DEC. Let's take a look at the cards from saachi. Though it cos 5 dec per day, it costs a totality of $240 DEC to rent for 20 days. This set consists of Delwyn Dragonscale at level 5, Serpentine Mystic at level 4, Daria Dragonscale at level 4, Manticore at level 4 and Black Dragon at level 2.
Let's also take a look at the set from seattlea consisting of 49 cards. At a cost of $50 DEC per day, this set cost $1000 DEC for a total of 20 days. All the cards from this set are level 1 cards. These include Chaos Animator, Nightmare, Chaos Jailer, Oludin Overseer, Gobalano Soldier, Avina of the Wolf, Harbringer of Chaos, among others. These were from different elements.
After viewing these and is okay with the cards, click on set. Just confirm the transaction via signing with keychain.
I really like this new feature bacause it allows you to rent a combination of cards from different levels.
