A Dark Conspiracy Against The Family. Assassin's Creed II, Part 1
Ezio suffered with exhaustion and terror, haunted by the terrible scene he had personally seen. He was helpless to halt the hanging of his father and two beloved brothers. Although guilt was a heavy burden on his heart, he resisted giving up. Being the only man left of the Auditore family, it was now his duty to keep his mother and sister safe by all means. He understood he needed to maintain his cool, make careful plans, and exact revenge on those who had betrayed his family since his grief was strengthening his willpower.
Ezio finally met the maid who had worked in their household for years. She had managed to take his mother and sister to safety, hiding them at her sister’s home. She gave him the location. Ezio was eager to reunite with them, but at the same time, tension gripped his heart. The events of the day still echoed in his mind, the betrayal, the execution, and the unbearable loss. He whispered to himself, "What am I going to say to them?" He had no answers.
The streets were full of guards, their eyes searching relentlessly for Ezio in every corner of the street. Every step he took put him in danger, making it harder and harder to go unseen. Swords were pulled whenever a guard spotted him, forcing him to fight or run. The city became a hostile battlefield for him. Ezio eventually arrived at his target after a number of violent chases and fights.
After he entered the house, he realized it was a brothel. He felt discomfort but it was the safe place.
There, Ezio got to know Paola, the maid's sister, who was an impressive, beautiful woman. He wanted to kill Uberto immediately, to make him pay for the betrayal that had shattered his family. Paola, however, calmly and wisely stopped him. "Wait for the right moment," she advised. "Rushing in foolishly will only get you killed. Until that moment comes, you must prepare yourself."
Guards At The Roof
The way ahead wasn't easy at all. The guards of the temple order were in search of him. They even set guards at the top of the buildings so I couldn't move from anywhere. But thanks to Paola, she taught him an effective trick of how he could mix in the crowd so that the guards couldn't notice him. I moved a long way like that but it wasn't working well as the crowd disappeared sometimes. So I decided to hire a group of women that would cover for me. They were always moving alongside me wherever I went.
Leonardo drew Ezio into a warm embrace, he was so happy to see him alive. "Ezio, Thank God you're safe". He asked Leonardo to fix the secret blade, which was broken. "Give me a moment. He gave Ezio his word, "I'll see what I can do."
After just a few minutes of focused work, Leonardo successfully restored the hidden blade, making it as good as new. "There, it’s done!" he said with a proud smile, handing the weapon back to Ezio. "This is incredible," he muttered, flexing his wrist to activate the blade.
A guard suddenly stopped at Leonardo's door. He had the information that Ezio had been spotted going into the workshop. Leonardo was cool and immediately refuted the accusation. "Unfortunately, you have been misinformed. No one has come to visit", he said.
It didn't convince the guard. His face grew serious, and suddenly he seized Leonardo and gave him a violent blow. He fell to the ground after the blow. Then the guard started to kick him.
Ezio, hiding in the shadows, couldn't stand by and watch his friend suffer. He moved quickly to get behind the guard. He flicked his wrist, bringing the repaired hidden blade to pop out. Ezio silenced the guard swiftly by driving the weapon into his back before he could respond. The body fell to the floor.
Ezio hurried out of Leonardo's workshop and headed back to Paola's place. His resolve was stronger than ever, and his mind was clear. He was prepared to attack now.
Paola welcomed him, noticing the change in him. She said, "You have prepared yourself well, Ezio, Now is the time" with a certain assurance.
She mentioned that Uberto Alberti would be at a large event, an art show at Santa Croce, where he would be unaware and distracted. "That will be the best place to end him," she said. Ezio's long-awaited moment has finally arrived. His mind was already formulating a plan.
There were guards crowding the route to Santa Croce, looking at every street and every shadow in an attempt to find Ezio Auditore. It was getting harder and harder to get around the city without being seen. He seemed to be in danger at every step, as the guards repeatedly noticed him and pursued him relentlessly through the streets and over roofs.
Hay-filled wooden carts along roads made perfect hiding places. He would jump into them at the right moment, disappearing as the guards hurried by, confused and unaware. Large cages and wooden structures protected the rooftops, enabling him to avoid detection when the situation became too risky. Ezio overcomes the guards with these innovative strategies. He was hunting now, not just running. And Uberto Alberti who was his real target, would soon be his victim.
Ezio saw Uberto entering the art show. But the whole area was heavily guarded. So Ezio decided to use the survival skill that he learned from Paola. He mixed into the crowd like he was not there. he moved to the front door like this. But the door was heavily guarded. So he used a trick.
He hired a group of girls to make a distraction. Those girls create chaos in front of the door. Guards come to solve the problem, leaving the door unguarded. Ezio took advantage of the situation. He entered through the unsecured door and disappeared into the corridors of Santa Croce, silent as a shadow. He was close to his aim. The moment had arrived for revenge.
After entering the hall, he didn't waste any of his time. got to close the traitor Ubertor, and put his sharp blade into Ubertor's heart. Uberto slowly fell into the lap of death.
The revenge was done. Ezio killed the man who betrayed his family. He felt relief for a moment. But then again he remembered the fight wasn't over yet. he had to retrain his family honor and expose the conspiracy of the Templer Order.
