This week I found out that the new release of Age Empire IV is coming, it continues the release of this great saga of strategy games (for me an excellent game, I would dare to say better than Warcraft) where as everyone says "There is no 3 without 4". I noticed the Fan Preview last weekend, to be honest everything they showed left me satisfied, the graphics and all the innovations that they project and that they say will come in this new installment. From what I have seen in the trailer, they show us several elements of the most popular entry of Age of Empires II, which seem to be present in Age of Empires IV.
In this new installment we can play in the campaigns with the Chinese, English, Mongol and Sultanate of Delhi civilizations. Giving veracity to the context is vital for both teams. Every detail counts and one of these examples is set out in the language of each civilization; if the English are chosen, the accent will be very marked during the dark years, it is not until we advance to the following eras that they acquire Old English. All languages will have the same treatment. If we choose the Chinese civilization, they will have the same progress, also the good thing about all this is that each civilization will have its own musical background. On the other hand, the historical approach is even transferred to the visual level. During the Dark Years, the first period of the game, the textures are coarser, the setting shares its more bitter image. It denotes a lack of hope that will gradually turn around as we go through the following periods. The image will begin to take on light, life. The colors leave their dull tones to shine in every way. The choice of the Middle Ages has its logic because this age is rich in history and can be used to great advantage when carrying out campaigns.
Also one of the novelties offered to us, is the ability to play with the Mongols, because with them you can settle in other places as this civilization was nomadic.
Another important change is in the battles, both land and sea, it is confirmed that there will be sea and ships. Battles will have a limit of 200 units per player, so we can have up to 1,200 warriors fighting each other approximately (if we gather six people in the same game). One of the strategic details that we can see is the new use of the fog of war, being able for the first time to hide troops among the trees for ambushes. Also the historical battles seem most epic in scale, with even more credibility thanks to their historical setting that should make the battles even more fascinating. In addition, the game will include some new additions such as the implemented physics of environment destruction, with which we will literally see walls and buildings collapse.
Every time this saga surprises me more and more and from my point of view I expect no less from World's Edge and Relic Entertainment, who as you know are the genius creators of this jewel, although the only thing I do expect is to know the specifications that we must have in our computers to see if we can run and enjoy it since the creators have not yet disclosed this detail, it is rumored that it is possibly a game for the cloud, but let's wait for its official release to clarify these doubts, which as announced for this fall 2021 and so we can delight us with this magnificent game.

Age of Empires 2 was awesome. I didn’t really like the third installment. I feel developers often end up in the trap of trying to recreate their earlier success and it ends up failing instead. This has huge potential though! Sounds cool
I agree with you, to me personally I did not call me much attention, I think these games should be developed from the middle ages backwards that from my point of view is where the action is concentrated 😅. Although I was reading that according to Wednesday of this week they had released I think some patches of updates for Empire Age 3, we should take a look and test it. The truth is that since I saw the Empire Age 4 trailler I've been dreaming of everything the developers promise.
Greetings my friend.
I remember many years ago playing age of empires with my friends, we always went to the Cyberscafe to play it until the owner had to run us out of the place, hahaha no doubt very good post, you made me remember old times.
I hope this new saga totally makes a difference and stands out.
Yes, I was also fired several times from those places for the same reason 😅. I hope you get a chance to play this new installment so you can reminisce about those times.
Greetings!
Thanks to you for taking the time to read this post, I hope you get to play it at some point. 😁 🎮
