Game: Kenshi
Intro
We continue from where we left off. In the previous chapter, we started the game for the first time, gathering resources from the area to make some money. Later, when we tried to go to the neighboring city, we were ambushed by bandits who wanted our food. In the end, the conflict turned out in our favor.
After recovering from that encounter, we set out again to prepare for the journey to the next city.
Luckily, we found this abandoned house with beds to help us recover.
Continuamos donde lo dejamos. En el capítulo anterior empezamos la partida por primera vez recogiendo recursos de la zona para hacer algo de dinero. Luego, cuando quisimos ir a la ciudad vecina, fuimos emboscados por bandidos que querían nuestra comida. Al final del conflicto, todo salió a nuestro favor.
Así que, luego de recuperarnos de ese encuentro, volvemos a salir para prepararnos para viajar a la otra ciudad.
Por suerte, conseguimos esta casa abandonada donde tenemos camas para recuperarnos.
Recovering Strength
Eiko is our character in this playthrough. Clearly, her stats are still very low. She’s not ready for combat yet, and we need to train her.
Eiko es nuestro personaje en esta partida. Claramente, tiene los stats muy bajos aún. No está hecha para pelear todavía; tenemos que entrenarla.
It was nighttime, so we took a walk around the city. We noticed that at one of the exits, the bandits had a conflict with the gate guards.
I think they tried to attack a caravan of merchants since there were some wounded animals lying on the ground.
Era de noche, así que salimos a dar una vuelta por la ciudad. Nos encontramos con que, en una de las salidas, los bandidos habían tenido un conflicto con los guardias de la puerta.
Creo que intentaron atacar una caravana de comerciantes, ya que había algunos animales heridos tirados en el suelo.
We didn’t want any trouble with the merchants, so we didn’t try to loot those animals. However, we did loot the bandits, including their leader, who was involved in the fight.
We got a pair of Geta sandals and a saber. The leader of the bandits was dying, so I don’t think he’ll be needing these items anymore.
No queríamos problemas con los comerciantes, así que no intentamos lootear esos animales. Pero lo que sí looteamos fue a los bandidos, que, por cierto, en esta pelea se vio envuelto el líder de ellos.
Conseguimos unas sandalias Geta y un sable. El líder de los bandidos estaba muriendo, así que no creo que vaya a necesitar todo esto.
Visiting Another City
We went to the bar to sell the excess items and buy supplies for the journey we were about to take. After so many events, we were starting to accumulate some money, which was perfect for visiting this new city.
Fuimos al bar a vender lo que nos sobraba y a comprar cosas para el viaje que haríamos. De tantos sucesos, ya empezábamos a tener algo de dinero, lo que nos iba bien para ir a esta nueva ciudad.
We waited until morning. Once everything was ready, we started moving towards the city. Fortunately, we didn’t encounter any problems along the way.
Esperamos a que se hiciera de día. Con todo ya listo, empezamos a movernos hacia la ciudad. No tuvimos ningún inconveniente en el camino.
When we arrived, the Shek guards were chatting among themselves. The Shek are a warrior race that is neutral and allows trade in their city.
Al llegar, estaban los guardias Shek charlando entre ellos. Esta es una raza guerrera que es neutral y permite el comercio en su ciudad.
We entered an armor shop since it was time to get something useful. We bought a few things and then explored what else we could find in the city.
Entramos a una tienda de armaduras, ya que era hora de obtener algo útil. Nos compramos unas cuantas cosas para luego ver qué más encontrábamos en esta ciudad.
The city also had a bar, so we took the opportunity to buy some food. In our city, when you buy food at the bar, the NPC runs out of stock, and you have to wait for it to restock.
También tenían un bar, así que aprovechamos de comprar comida. Ya que, al comprar comida en el bar de nuestra ciudad, se acaba el stock del NPC y hay que esperar a que vuelva a tener.
We sat down at the bar to rest and observe the faces of these warriors, hoping to recruit one to assist us on our journey through Kenshi.
Nos sentamos a descansar en el bar a ver las caras de estos guerreros y ver si podíamos reclutar alguno que nos ayudara en nuestro recorrido por Kenshi.
Summary
We finally managed to travel from one city to another without dying in the process. Since we still can't defend ourselves, exploring is a very challenging task, as the hostile environment constantly threatens to end our journey. In this new city, there are many shops with items that will be helpful to us, as well as warriors we can recruit in the future. For now, we need to go back, make more money, and return to recruit someone to assist us in battles.
Finalmente logramos viajar de una ciudad a otra sin morir en el intento. Dado que aún no podemos defendernos por nuestra cuenta, explorar resulta una tarea muy difícil, ya que el entorno hostil busca acabar con nuestra partida. En esta nueva ciudad, hay muchas tiendas con objetos que nos serán útiles y también guerreros que podremos reclutar en el futuro. Por ahora, debemos regresar, ganar más dinero y volver para reclutar a alguien que nos ayude en las batallas.
