Got one noodle shop

in Eating Out6 days ago

In Malaysia, there's a ton of funny shop names. This for example, GO Noodle House. If you're not Chinese educated, you will have trouble figure out why is it GO has to be capital letters. Apparently, the original Chinese name for the shop is Got One - noodle shop 🤣

Due to the fact of different culture, i did not translate the Chinese content to English. And the English version is not quite relate to what i wrote in Chinese, you may still use a translator, but i think you'll get even more confused. Therefore, i am writing a slightly different content with a different language. The noodle shop decoration is one of the nearest Chinese empire (i really cant tell the difference of dynasty or emperor). Since the last king was dead and didnt continue his dynasty, i guess we call it empire is suffice.

比如,人山人海,总不能people mountain people sea吧。

I ordered a set that came with fried tofu skin, fried fish fingers as side, and a complement barley puer tea. Not the most usual kind of mixture, but somehow they blended pretty darn well. The barley offset the bitterness of the tea without taking away the tea taste.

Home minister ordered an a la carte noodle soup. I'm the one who has trouble feeding myself with super hot soup. So i got myself a dried noodle instead. One thing unusual with dry noodle is, the condiments are separated. They probably knew some people doesn't like fried onions, with the separate condiments of fried anchovies, fried onions, and minced meat, you can pick and choose what to add into the noodle.

Came the bill, actually 42 is quite readonable feeding two person. Its located inside the mall, with the environemnt, airconditioning, its quite comfortable to enjoy dinner together with the home minister. If you must convert it, 1 US dollar is roughly 4.5 Malaysia Ringgit. Therefore, this whole meal cost us less than $10. What say you?
