Popeye's Chicken In Downtown Toronto

in Eating Out4 days ago (edited)

Hi there. Here is a food post by me. After a day of spending Pokemon Day in Toronto I wanted a quick dinner meal before heading back home. The food court at the nearby Eaton Centre mall in downtown Toronto would be too busy on a weekday night so I decide to go to a less busy Popeye's location. This is at Atrium on Bay which is connected to the Eaton Centre Mall and Dundas subway station.

Daily Popeye's Specials

Popeye's Chicken is a competitor to Kentucky Fried Chicken or KFC for short. Popeyes specializes in fried chicken in their fast food offerings. What I like from them is that their chicken is quite crispy and their daily specials.

I went for their Thursday Special. It is three pieces of fried chicken with a Fries add on for another $1.50 CAD. The price of the Thursday Special is around 9.50 CAD. I do recall the price of this Thursday Special being something like 8 CAD seven or so years ago. It is inflation and loss of purchasing power of the years. A meal in downtown Toronto for under 10 CAD is not common these days but they do exist.

so do you like this more than KFC?

Yes. I like Popeye's better than KFC in Canada.

KFC China is a different thing when I visited there. I do have a upcoming post on that. Not sure when.
