Do you love going to cafes and trying their food? Well, Cafe 8020 offers unique dishes with large servings. Come with me as I share our foodie finds just around the corner of our municipality.
Visiting Cafe 8020 was unexpected and unplanned. At first, my boyfriend and I planned to eat at a different cafe, but when we got there, we found out that they were closed every Monday. So, we had to change our plans, and suddenly, Cafe 8020 came to my mind. We decided to give it a try, even though we had no idea about their price range.
The Place
When we arrived, the outdoor area looked really nice. The design and lighting they used were perfect and suited the place well. We quickly went inside and started looking at their menu to see which food looked delicious.
While my boyfriend was busy placing our orders, I looked around and noticed how nice the painting designs were. The place was very quiet and welcoming. I can say that this cafe is perfect for studying or even small meetings because it’s so peaceful. You’d be the only one feeling shy if you made even a little noise. Plus, the background music was relaxing, making it a great place to unwind. You can just chill there, and they don’t mind how long you stay as long as you’ve ordered something.
Foods
My boyfriend was overwhelmed by the many food choices. He ended up ordering a lot because, according to him, everything on the menu looked delicious. Just by reading it, he could already tell the food would be tasty, so he ordered more than expected. The price range for their food was around ₱160 to ₱250, while their drinks, including coffee, ranged from ₱80 to ₱190. I’ll attach their menu so you can check it out yourself.
That day, we ordered fries, two mango smoothies, carbonara, burger steak, and their special tocino. I was literally shocked that he just ordered a lot! I got a little angry but in the end , we were a little bit satisfied because the food was delicious, plus the servings were big. If you're really hungry, you could probably finish one serving in your one seating.
I just got a little bit disappointed with their burger steak. I thought it would have gravy as the sauce, but it turned out to be chicken curry. I’m not a fan of chicken curry, so I didn’t really like the taste. But I still managed to finish it—I just avoided mixing the rice with the curry so I wouldn’t taste it too much. As for the smoothies, they were a bit too sweet. You could tell they probably didn’t use fresh mangoes and just added syrup, but they still tasted good. I just didn’t expect them to be like that.
Overall, our dining experience there was nice. The staff was accommodating, and we really liked the peaceful atmosphere. What we loved the most was their carbonara—it was super creamy! Since both of us are big fans of carbonara, it was definitely worth coming back for. We truly had a great time enjoying our food and savoring every bite. Btw, this is located at Yati, Liloan Cebu. wow any idea where the 8020 came from. I was expecting it to be a bit futuristic. Anyways food does look good but I guess the burger steak wasn't :c
