Yesterday, January 11, I wasn't on chain much because I was busy on other things. My friend and I met early in the morning to attend another friend's wedding. It was in Pagsanjan, Laguna which is three hours drive away from our location. Since the wedding is very far, we decided to eat first and stopped by a restaurant that serves "lutong bahay" or home cooked meal as opposed to fast food. Along the road to Calauan, Laguna is Iskargu Restaurant that serves delicious food along with a nice view.
The restaurant looks like an old house and even the interior has a lot of antiques.
The inside of the restaurant even has a nice garden.
And an old piano.
They serve home-cooked Filipino foods like meat and vegetables. One of these is carabao meat which is very tough.
Fish.
Rice cakes for dessert.
Fruits and juices.
Since we are going to a wedding party, we decided not to eat too much and just ordered a light meal. Our food consisted of Menudo (pork cooked in tomato sauce), laing (taro leaves cooked in coconut milk) and rice wrapped in banana leaves.
The restaurant is very roomy and has some customers.
The restaurant also offers a nice view of fields and mountains while eating. The air is also very cool.
It was a good meal, nice ambience and great view. After our meal, we feel rested and full as we continued our drive to the wedding.

Cool! The experience you shared is definitely a must try for travelers visiting PH. The place and food is so authentic 😋
Been thinking about Eating Out community ever since @shawnnft snap about it. So I’m glad that I finally made a post for it last night. Cheers!
Awesome. Glad you've been thinking. Time to convert more people but not too big if not I'll need help
I agree with curamax. The ambiance is nice! Is it just grab whatever you want and they charge you after or is it a buffet? Seems similar to what we call mix rice here in malaysia but with chinese dishes~ but not as great ambiance wise.
Thanks for sharing and posting here in eating-out! Have a great rest of your Logen
You order which you want like in a canteen and they will serve it. At the end of the line is the cashier to pay for the food.
I see so it's like mixed rice here then. That's good! Usually for me I go for all the meat haha
