Today, I’m sharing an eating-out moment with my community friends. Yes, this is the first time I’m posting about this! Usually, I share moments with office colleagues, friends, or family, but this time, it’s about my community friends, who are actually like my brothers.
It’s not like we don’t eat out together. The truth is, I spend a lot of time with them, and since you all know I’m a foodie, it’s impossible that I don’t eat with them. But I always forget to take pictures, or sometimes I don’t even have my phone with me. This time, I made sure to take pictures, especially for this post. I have a lot of community friends, but since everyone couldn’t leave the community place at the same time, only a few of us joined this eating-out plan.
Near our community place, there’s a fast food restaurant called Meow, where we used to go regularly. My brother @shrazi has been there the most, it was almost like home-cooked food for him! 😂 A few months ago, a new restaurant opened right across from Meow, and Shiraz Bhai @shrazi was the first to share the news with us. We couldn’t resist, so we made a plan overnight and went there immediately!
Just like pizza and burgers are famous in our home, beef mayo roll is the most popular item among our community guys. It’s a hit! Since one of my friends and I reached early, we decided to try something new. Secretly, we ordered pizza, not from the new restaurant, but from a newly opened pizza place right next to it. We thought it would be great, but unfortunately, it wasn’t! The taste was disappointing.
Now coming to the new restaurant, "Grill & Fries" it turned out to be better than Meow in every way. From the seating arrangement to the service and food, everything was great. The staff was friendly and cooperative too. We ordered the special chicken sandwich and, of course, our classic beef mayo roll. Their menu also includes Chinese dishes, but we decided to try that some other day and settled for what we had. 😂
Back to the pizza, it took forever to be ready, and when it finally arrived, I was shocked. There was barely any topping, and the cheese was of some unknown type. It was totally disappointing. But since we had paid for it, we made sure to finish it anyway. LOL.
I really liked the ambiance of Grill & Fries. The walls were decorated with delicious food pictures, which made us crave even more food! We enjoyed everything the food, the place, and most importantly, the gathering. Every get-together has its own vibe, but community friends’ gatherings are truly special for me. I had a great experience, and from now on, whenever we plan something near the community place, we’re definitely going to Grill & Fries!
