As I navigate the challenges of college life, far from the comfort of my home, I'd like to share a snippet of my daily adventures with you. Currently, I'm renting a place near campus to facilitate my busy schedule, particularly for our Physical Education demonstration practices. With time at a premium, cooking meals has become a luxury I can no longer afford, despite the financial impracticality. Today was no exception. After another hectic morning, my conyo baby and I decided to ditch our culinary plans and treat ourselves to brunch instead.
WHAT'S THE TWIST?
You might wonder, what's so special about eating out? Well, here's the twist: we ventured out to Jollibee without bothering to shower first. For some, this might seem insignificant, but factor in the sweltering heat we braved while walking to Jollibee, and you'll understand why this outing was particularly memorable. Imagine strolling under the scorching sun without the refreshing comfort of a shower. The heat was almost palpable, making every step feel like a trek through a sauna. Despite the discomfort, we laughed and joked, enjoying each other's company as we savored our Jollibee favorites. This impromptu brunch excursion may not have been the most glamorous, but it's moments like these that make college life so unforgettable. The freedom to be spontaneous, to prioritize convenience over convention, and to share experiences with our loved ones– these are the things that make the chaos worthwhile.
Upon arriving at Jollibee, we ordered a Jolly Spaghetti and Chickenjoy to share, a well-deserved treat after our exam earlier that day.
The exam had been conveniently administered through Google Forms, so I was thrilled to have avoided a physical trip to school. However, my excitement was short-lived. As we waited for our food, I received a message in our group chat that left me reeling. I had been summoned to the Student Affairs office, and my mind began racing with worst-case scenarios. Despite the chilly air-conditioning, I couldn't help but break a sweat. Anxiety gripped me, and I couldn't shake the feeling of unease. Why had I been called to the office? Had I done something wrong? The uncertainty was unbearable. I tried to brush off the worries and focus on our meal, but my appetite had vanished. Turns out despite the online exam, I was required to retake it in person because even though in was on google form, we still need to go to school which I didn't do because I was uninformed. I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions but I knew I had to face the challenge ahead. After all, setbacks are a part of life, and it's how we respond that truly matters.
That's it for now my amazing Hivers! If you like reading my blog, feel free to check my profile to read some more.
