Fruits Of My Labour 🍅
There are very few things as satisfying as eating from the proceeds of your garden. In the past few days, I've done exactly that and it's been very nice.
🍅 My tomatoes have started ripening against all odds. Tomatoes require a lot of water and rainfall hasn't been regular this month. I've also been away from home now and again, during dry spells, putting the tomatoes in danger of failure. Somehow, they pulled through and bore fruit. In fact the largest harvest will be tomorrow, but I've since eat some. They tasted very nice actually. I plucked them, washed them and ate them within a couple of minutes. This is the best possible way to eat fruits.
🍎 I also have apples. While these didn't actually grow in my garden, they are from the first ever batch borne by a tree I planted in someone's farm years ago. They call the tree "Ade's apple tree", lol, and they sent me the first batch. They were only one day plucked when I got to taste them, which meant they're absolutely delicious. I was also sent a bunch of jars of jam made from the other fruits from the same farm; strawberry, raspberry and peach. Marvelous.
Peace & Love,
Adé
😂 Love those apple pictures!

LOL. thanks.
I'm missing the home grown tomatoes this year. They are the best. I have got berries and there will be apples too. Well try to get more organised next year.
I may have moved next year sadly. Maybe I may end up somewhere with more garden space, in which case, I'll be planting a lot more stuff. I think I remember your tomatoes last year :)
That apple looks delicious, I love that fruit but unfortunately the ones sold in the market leave much to be desired haha this one looks juicy and appetizing 😋
And those tomatitos look great too, yummy and good that they have survived despite the lack of rain 👌
Thank you. Yes the apples tasted unbelievably good. Luckily I have a few orchards near me that I can visit to have very good quality apples. I haven't been there this year though :)
Here in Houston we haven't had much rain other than the major storms that have rolled in. We have been growing tomatoes indoors for the last 60+ days and they are finally starting to ripen can't wait to taste.
Awww that one looks so cute. Almost looks like a garden egg. Hope they turn out really nice.
