Fresh ingredients from the garden are a wonderful gift from nature and it inspires the desire to shoot in a new style.

Herbs are always attractive to grow in the garden. It's uplifting in itself. Plus the benefits for food supplies in the kitchen. What are your favorite herbs?

In the garden, I choose to grow herbs and spices that are most widely used to make herbal foods and drinks. Because it will be very useful when the body is not fit and requires certain intakes that contain these herbs and spices.

The great thing is, we can get the herbs fresh directly from the trees in the garden when they are ready to be harvested. Although indeed to be able to get plants that are ready to harvest, it requires a lot of hard work.

An Abundance of Ginger From Garden

I love making ginger tea, ginger soup, and more. Ginger helps boost immunity and is a natural treatment when I have a cold.

I also use ginger to make the porridge. One of them is for the ingredients to make Mung Bean Porridge, whose recipe I have posted on HIVE.

That's why there is a lot of ginger around my house and also my sister's house. Our family often uses ginger to make ginger tea, with palm sugar. It's like a traditional recipe passed down in Indonesian families.

We also occasionally make coffee with ginger to add a different coffee sensation.

From these growing media, I, my family members, or even my neighbors can take as much ginger as we need. After harvesting the required amount of ginger, we planted the ginger tree again, for the ginger tree, leaving a few tubers, which were pulled out during the harvest process.

I photographed the gingers that I had harvested against the sky background. Luckily for me, the day was clear and it created a beautiful sky.

I harvested two pieces of ginger. The tubers are large and of good quality without rotting.

Good quality of ginger. It's also because it's not the rainy season. During the rainy season, the probability of root rot in ginger tubers will increase more.

These gingers are ready to make delicious ginger tea, to maintain endurance, as well as a friend to relax at night.

Exploring Ginger Photography Using a Mirror

I really like photographing the sky. I like to involve lots of skies for food/drink shots, etc.

This time I tried to capture the sky using a mirror. I managed to get different portraits of the sky, adjusted to the position of the mirror itself.

I did a photoshoot in a field behind the house. Then I brought the ginger object. The results did not disappoint.

I'm happy to explore photography with a mirror this time. I love the results! What do you think? Do you like the results?

In addition to using ginger as a shooting object, I also used a cup of ginger tea. The results from shooting a cup of ginger tea are not optimal in my opinion, because I can't display the ginger slices in the ginger tea naturally without a spoon. Still need more practice. But at least, I've tried.

Oh WOW that is awesome

Ginger is going to be my big "cash crop" lol... in other words we eat so much of it that im learning to grow it so that we save money :-)

here ginger costs $50 per kilo and bananas are about $3 per kilo so that shows how expensive it is.

I have grown it in the past just not at this house. I can see big bulbs under the surface and the leaves are looking big and green so there is SOME in there.

lovely photos

Great blog

Sarah

Big bulbs are satisfying gifts from nature 😍

Seems like you have a very nice place to grow ginger because they produce very good qualities. I like using ginger for my soup dishes and also I make drinks out of ginger when we are not feeling well that's why now I'm trying to grow them too but I haven't noticed the progress yet and by the way, for me, you always give the best photos every time you make a post @anggreklestari .

I believe you will be succes one day planting ginger. Tricky, but once you did it, you will continue making huge harvesting.

But for me, they easily growing well especially on their tuber. I plant them on Polybag.

Thanks, for now, I only grow a few of them direct to the soil bed and I'm still observing if they will thrive so, I'll add more soon.

I can smell the freshness of the ginger from the garden. very strong gingery smell.they have interesting flower

I love their smell too ❤️

The mirror photos of the sky turned so well. It is a bit like painting, to hold the camera at the right angle to achieve to fullest colors. I enjoyed the photo with the spoon because the sky blue reflected onto the ginger orange mug.

Thank you 😊 I’m glad you enjoying the photos. I love blue skies!

Hello @anggreklestari, you have the joy of harvesting your vegetables, ginger has multiple uses in cooking and medicine.

Very beautiful photos with the mirror.

Blessings!

Joy and exicited! I’m glad I have beautiful ginger :)

How cool is that?
Ginger from your garden ;D

Super cool ❤️🌸

Wow, those are lots of ginger my friend. By the way, the mung porridge is also my favorite.

mung bean porridge is my family members fav too 😊

Same here, mung bean porridge is my family's favorite (^_^)

This is fresh. So lovely you have organic herbs you can pick and use. Ginger is versatile and good for anything. The only thing is I can't grow the ginger. I have try and it's difficult. I even watch on YouTube. I get buds that are sprouting. I then plant it and after a few days it roots. Perhaps after month it gets bigger then no more ginger. I water it every 5 days, put egg shell on it and tea leaves. I am looking for other herbs I can use. Maybe buy seeds !

I hope you can have more fresh herbs!

Yeah I have lots of watching youtube videos too :) Good luck

I thought immediately upon seeing the first photo of ginger on the mirror, how nice it was that the sky was reflecting beneath it.

Is it a bit of an odd shape for a mirror? Not round, not square, not oval? Very interesting.

I notice your ginger garden is in pots. Is there a reason for growing in pots and not directly into the ground? Just curious.

the shape of the mirror is unique. I bought it from online shop :) I love it

OMG: The Gingger is looking fresh from the garden
😍

Thanks sis ❤️🌸 Have a great day

I have never heard of coffee with ginger!! it surely must be something interesting!

Also, you should give us tips on how to grow ginger... I have tried several times en I have never got success!! :(

coffee with ginger is spiced up drink and you have to try it. but burn ginger fresh to make the taste and smell turned out :)

In Thailand ginger is one of most common ingredients! I love it and especially love ginger tea!

Ginger tea is perfect for cold day or in the night ❤️

The shots with mirror in it look so pinteresty!😍

Thank you so much!

I really liked your publication, not only because I like ginger but also because the title made me very curious, I have been looking for a new style of photography for a long time, you don't know how I would like to have a patio where I could plant nice plants and take pictures like this. I live in a building and to get a background with nature I have to go to other places. Can you imagine me going out with a bowl of soup all over the building? LOL

I really liked your photo with the sky background, luckily it was beautiful that day and that helped.

I will keep looking for new options.
