Hello everyone!
How is everyone?
The covid-19 virus with the latest variation of 'omicron' is starting to spread and now the virus has infected several people in Indonesia.
The latest news from this virus, Omicron was brought by an artist from Indonesia who had just returned from traveling from Turkey. The artist is indeed not the only one who brought this variation of omicron, but this news has gone viral because the one affected by the virus is a famous artist and the wife of a top Indonesian musician.
Because of this news, the government panicked and then made regulations to alert health protocols. All people are encouraged to do a lot of activities at home, school children who have started face-to-face meetings are now back having to study at home and workers who can do work from home are required so that this virus can be controlled again.
I got a flashback 2 years ago, to be precise the beginning of this pandemic which made me an ornamental plant lover. Due to the pandemic I tried to do leisure activities by gardening and watering plants, learning hydroponics and starting to collect some new and quite draining ornamental plants.
Over time, ornamental plants began to be abundant in my yard and made my husband confused about what I was doing. But he understands that I need an activity so that I don't get stressed and get sick if I just stay at home and surf on social media. And this pandemic has also allowed me to write on #hive to make me even better.
This time I really want to share about my plants that I talked about a few months ago, and this is the development of my plants that I have been taking care of lately. Let's check this out!
Philodendron McDowell
This plant I originally bought only had 2 small leaves and 1 large leaf. Now this plant has 1 small leaf and 3 large leaves. Caring for p.mcdowel is quite difficult, because the roots do not like moist soil, so we have to be extra careful in watering this plant.
Keep in mind, this plant only needs the leaves to be watered every day to make it shiny, but the planting medium must be kept from getting too much water.
Raphidophora Tetrasperma
This plant is the easiest plant to care for. I just give it a porous planting medium and I always put it among my other plants. This plant has never been sick and the leaves are also getting bigger and bigger. The growth of this plant is very fast, spreads wherever he likes and most importantly its beautiful shape makes me love this plant even more. Anyone planning to adopt?
Alocasia Black Velvet
I am very happy with the growth of this alocasia, he is very firm with his dark black leaves. And most importantly, I can finally chop this plant and have a lot of roots. She is the oldest plant in my small garden, but her charm is very elegant, isn't it?
Actually, I still have a lot to say, but I'm really tired today. But I have many other photos that I took myself using an old camera that I haven't used in a long time. So thought about taking some bokeh photos on my houseplants.
By the way about this old camera. Yesterday, I found an old camera that had been in the closet for a long time. Some of the lenses are starting to get moldy and blurry. My husband was sad to see the camera, he said it was 12 years old but was not maintained because it was rarely used.
So actually, this camera belongs to my husband's sister. This was a gift from his parents and it turned out that this camera was rarely used, even though this camera was purchased with 3 other lenses which were quite expensive at that time. My husband said just use this camera to take a lot of photos, rather than this camera just broken.
See you in the next one.

I would love to grow an indoor garden as well since they look SO beautiful, but it's so dang hard 🤣 did you succeed at it from the very beggining?
And it seems you're not only great at gardening but in taking photos as well! I'm sure it's not only the good camera who takes credit for these pictures. They look clean and beautiful!
I've 2 years of study for this, I never fail. But now all the plants grow well. Thanks for stopping by :)

Great job. It is so fresh, very green and beautiful 👍
Oh I love your plants! You have a lot of cool ones I am not familiar with. Houseplants are good for our mental health! I love having them around, too.
I just got a set of plant lights for a Yule gift, which I had wanted because in my new apartment there isn't as much light as in my old apartment. I think it is helping my plants already, so I'm glad.
