Anyway getting back to the topic, I always loved gardening but didn't get much time to do it. But this time I anyhow I got to do it. And also the current situation of my country encourage me to do so. If you happened to know about my country, Sri Lanka; there is a huge economical crisis going on these days. So, the prices of food increases day by day and because of that the people here were encouraged to grow vegetables in there own garden.
I also thought of doing so. And that's how I came up with this. And also there happened to be some compost that I have previously prepared with me. So I thought of using them.
img_1525Hello Hive friends! I'm Avanthi Uthpala and this is my first time posting here. If you like to get to know me better you can visit https://ecency.com/hive-174578/@avanthius/hi-would-you-like-to and read about me.

First I dig a bucket of soil which from my garden and removed large rocks from it.

And I took a same amount of compost (because soil and compost should be in 1:1 proportion for this) and put it on the soil.
And I mixed them together.

Then I took some coconut leaves and remove the leave part of it keeping the small stick.

And then I took some papers and cut it into 4 parts. And I took a one part and rolled it like this. And secured it using the coconut stick. And this is how it looks like. These are my plant nursery pots.

And these are the seeds that I'm going to plant today. I received those from my brother-in law and he was given these by his work place. In here there are Ladies fingers, Beans, Bitter ground, Cucumber and Wing beans seeds.

After preparing the paper pots I again moved back to my soil and compost mixture. There, I added bit water to it for a small area cause I wanted to make soil balls like this.
img_1543

These should be in the size of your paper pot. Cause you have to put it inside the pot. Since these soil hard it won't fall from the bottom. And this is how it looks like.

Then I put some loose soil on top of it like this.

Now my pots are ready.
img_1552

Then I dig a small hole using my finger and place a seed inside it.

After that I place some soil on top of it and spray some water very lightly on top of it.
img_1566

After that I placed it a place where you get enough sunlight. And you have to be sure the place won't be directed to heavy rain, otherwise the soil will wash away.

Anyway that's it. And I'm so excited for these seeds to grow. Then I can plant them in the ground.
See you in the next post with the plants.

Wow, this looks like an excellent idea, to make your own compost and the small, paper nursery pots!!

I hope the plants will grow from the seeds so you can plant them in the ground 😃

Thank you. Yeah I also think so, cause you won't be needing any polyethene which causes environment pollution. And you can just directly plant them in the ground with the paper cause it will decay easily. 😊

You are right about pollution too. The paper will decompose easily 👍

You are right Sri Lanka facing Crisis now days and you are doing great as growing vegetables at home can provides us fresh vegetables and even can save money keep it up great job ✨

Yeah. That's absolutely right. 😊

Great post. Can't wait to see your seeds come up 👍

Thank you. Yeah I also can't wait. 😊
