Since the 2nd week of February the atmosphere has completely changed here in Greece, Chalkidiki. Now the spring is really just around the corner.
Everywhere I spot the first signs of her.
Some trees, like the almond trees, are starting to blossom. That attracts the bees, they are starting to move around again. Bbbzzzzz I love the sounds of working bees, the best employees of Mother Earth. Fascinating insects.
Also the ladybugs are waking up from their winter sleep, one landed on my hand.
The world looks so different when there are blossoms around us, don’t you think the same? All is slowly waking up from the winter time.
The days and nights are getting warmer I even had to water the garden already twice, the soil was so dry!
Everywhere around the village you can see the hyacinths and the daffodils staring to grow and of course I spot also bees on them. Look the flowers, they color the grey days so wonderful.
Also my rosemary got flowers.
Last week I was starting to prepare the soil in the garden for planting seeds directly in the cold soil. Like different kind of salads, onions, herbs, carrots, beetroots and many more veggies who can be grown in the cold soil. Some of them are already sprouting and starting to grow.
Cutting tree’s and feeding them with good food (Goat manure), is also one on the main jobs that needs to be done in February and at the latest – the first week of March.
I am very lucky to have a friend who has a heated glasshouse, they have a garden center and together we grow many and different kinds of tomatoes, eggplants and peppers there. Later I will start to plant seeds for cucumbers, beans, zucchini etc. For them it is still too early.

Still many foods are available from the garden @BabetterPlace and the broad beans are growing very well, soon I will have flowers!
Daily I have plenty fresh salads, cabbages, lemons, broccoli, cauliflower and many herbs, straight from the garden, it is a blessing to go shopping in your own garden.
February has ended, in the beginning it was frozen and cold, then there were warm and sunny days and the last days we had a lot of rain to wash the 2nd month of the year away! March started with a lot of rain ans what is waiting to come will be a surprise.

How beautiful the flowers wake up where you live with the arrival of spring. I love bees too. And your garden seems to be very well stocked too. It must be very nice to eat all fresh from your garden.
It is really a blessing, listening to the bees and eating from my own home grown food. Never thought I could do this, but I found out I have green fingers'!!

Your garden has already started for the season - although it never stopped. The flowers are looking great - it will have a lovely garden. I am eager to start my own but the weather is changing as fast as my mind. lol It is freezing again but tomorrow is the day.
Yes also here the weather is crazy, one day freezing and the other day above 15, crazy climate... But you know what they say in Holland about March?
