How does Your Garden Grow, Sir?

It's been a hot minute, so, time to update the indoor seedlings for the moment.

What's Growing? What's Thriving?

FIRST
Indoors, other than Veggies, I have Greek Oregano, Greek parsley, Thyme, Oregano, Sweet Basil, and Dark Basil Oregano. Oh, and Celery!

Early in January, I planted some Tomato Seed and Pepper Seed as an experiment to try and close the The Hunger Gap

BUT, the VAST majority of my Peppers were sown Feb 15th, tomato March 15th. Cucumbers, Squash, Zucchini, and Eggplant, also Mrch 15th. HEre's where they stand so far!

Tomato, I sowed a total of 203 seeds, expecting HALF to maybe germinate. I planted mostly two per seed hole, knowing I would thin ONE of each seed hole. So, basically 100 Seeds sown

Here's what I have potted up

Tomato SO FAR

4 White Cherry Tomato
3 Sweetie Tomato
3 Blueberry Tomato
4 Black Cherry Tomato (new to me)

2 Beefsteak Tomato
5 GIANT Crimson (new to me)
3 Black Sea Man Tomato
3 Ananas Noir Tomato
4 Brandywine Yellow Tomato
4 Mushroom Black Tomato

Still too small to put up:
Brandywine Black

Cucumber

4 boston Pikcling Cukes (seedless, great for pickling)
4 Muncher Cukes (good eats)
4 Spacemaster 80 Cukes
4 Straight 8 Cukes
these last two are very similar but mature at different times so, more cukes over longer period of time.

I will update more, later, on flowers (48 or so seeds sown) and other veggies NOT germinated YET.

If you follow me, you know I prefer to grow my own food for my family and friends. You probably also know, my love language seems to be serving. For my family and friends, that means, cooking and serving them healthy, locally grown food, whenever and wherever I can. Local food has a much lower impact on our local, national, and global environment.

And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.

You also grow sweet banana!

WoW very impressive. I am sure you will have lots of food to eat and to share.
Thus far spring has been colder than normal here in the Netherlands. My small garden is not showing much signs of seedling life yet. However I am still progressing.
Looking forward to your updates.

Our spring has been a bit warmer than typical. but still not warm enough to plant outside, yet.
Lettuce, Peas, Potato, Spinach, yes, but nothing else yet.

I may transplant outside, my onion later today, tomorrow, or Monday. not sure.

The seedlings are very healthy and beautiful. I love the statistics you have made in the table form it would serve as a guide to how the seedlings are growing. Thank you!

All this warm weather has me wanting to move things outside. But its too soon here. When are you starting outside?

I am spending a week in NYC, first of may for work. I'll harden off after I get back... so, some time mid may, depends on weather and night time temps.

  • This is well though out!! Looks like you have some gardening to tend to and some yummy dishes to make!

SOON To be lots of food for cooking! For pickling, preserving
    ... and of course, munching!

Everything looks like its doing well! I can't wait to have everything growing outdoors!

it is doing well... I just wish it wasn't so cool at night. I wanna be outside, and see it all growing!

    Nice work buddy
