Here it is!! My first lily of the season. It has taken forever, but finally the day has come. It bloomed two days ago, and as of yet, remains the only one.
My stonecrop has also decided to put on a good show. I think this may be the best this plant has ever looked and I give all the credit to the rain we have enjoyed.
Another peony bloom has opened, this one a creamy white. Notice that hardworking gnome in the background. He is responsible for promoting these blooms.
Just look at this delicate poppy! The fresh coral hues are a joy to behold. I can barely wait until more buds open.
These blooms make all the work of gardening worth it. All the weeding, digging, watering, fertilizing--everything we do is in preparation for a few short weeks of beauty.
