I LOVE this! We bought tobacco ages ago but I haven't found a recipe I like. What a fantastic natural insecticide @sirenahippie. Thank you for sharing. We have very bad ants. They eat the plant roots so you only know there is a problem when the plant dies.

Hi @buckaroobaby. Thanks for stopping by to read and comment. Ants are also problematic, because they can make huge nests. If they are stinging ants, the kind that feed on leaves and other parts of the plant, you can put shredded cabbage where they transit, they take it to their nests, there it ferments and produces a fungus that is deadly to some ant species. You can also try to throw the residues of ground coffee in the anthill, but mixed with boiling water, of course you must verify that the anthill is not near any plant, because you can seriously affect it. I hope you find this information useful. Greetings.
The cabbage tip is a fantastic one! I love that idea. Thank you so much. We have tried coffee grounds but it hasn't worked.
Leave the shredded cabbage in the evening, so it will retain more moisture and decompose faster.
