Yesterday I shared my first ever "waves" via Ecency - a photo & short description of a moment in my flower garden. It is fun to try new forms of media but, a single photo and a sentence or two just cannot capture the beauty of that I am surrounded by this summer. So, today I am sharing ....
a Flower Tour!
While last year zinnias were the stars of the flower garden, this year there are only a few (so far). Still I love the bright pop of red zinnia in the sea of cosmos flowers that surround them. Hopefully there will be more!
Every day I stop by my three cannabis plants and am always surprised to see the insects that seek refuge there. Normally there are couples of mating beetles but today there was a beautiful little ladybug.
The zucchini plants really got off to a slow start this summer. Now that the rain has come they are producing lots of flowers and the local bumble bees are pollinating them - good work bees!
From the garden I took my camera and myself for a walk around the fields. Now that we are hosting a small herd of horses the grass is lovely and well kept. I was surprised to see a few thistle plants have survived the mares' hunger. I collect the seeds for liver health so I am glad to see these plants growing in the field.
While we live in a small house in the middle of the farm there actually is another house on this farm that we caretake. The main house is usually a bit of an eye-sore that I don't normally take pictures of. It is big, scary, and quite moldy. A few weeks ago I noticed this flower climbing up the metal frame of the window and thought it so beautiful! Anyone have any idea what type of plant this is?
Hello @calendulacraft such a beautiful collection of flowers!I like their colors, so refreshing.
