The last few weeks have been full of travel to friends & cities along the west coast USA. Hugs from some of my favorite people, long walks in parks with a joint and checking out local breweries were some of the highlights of these days.
I also really enjoyed getting glimpses into the indoor gardena that decorate the apartments of my friends & sister.
And today I would like to share a couple of these indoor greenscape.
the potted garden in my friend's apartment
In the cold lands of the Pacific Northwest there isnt much greenery outside to admire besides the lush forests of hemlock and pine.
Outdoors people's gardens have gone to sleep for winter. Inside the apartment of my two college friends there is a world teaming with life and color.
the new balcony garden at my sister's place
After a lifetime of being more interested in media than nature, things are starting to change for my younger sister. Now she calls herself a plant mom and here are a few of her children that populate her SoCal balcony.
When warmer weather arrives in spring she plans to plant herbs for medicine. I am so proud!!
Seeing the beautiful collection of potted plants tended to by my sister & friends ispired to create an indoor garden in the house where I stay while visiting the west coast.
It is the home of my parents and while I only live there part time I felt adding more house plants to the scene would add a lot to my temporary lodgings.
While I can only enjoy these cacti a couple of months a year my mom waters and appreciates them year round. She says they add a certain vibe to the upstairs bedroom where I stay. I, of course, agree!

Thank you!! 🌳
Those beautiful plants, seems like they are showered with lots of love and time. That's what's amazing when you have your own garden. Aside from it can make our place more warmer, peaceful and beautiful - taking care of them is also good for the heart 💓
