In my country (Venezuela) we don't have seasons, only two types of weather, rainy season and non-rainy season, that's why I always wondered how people who have such long winters take care of their plants.

Haha, it's manageable. I'm from Japan with four seasons same as Germany. German winter is a bit longer and darker winter than Japan ... though. It makes the season sometimes mentally tough but I don't don't like it as I also enjoy knitting during cold and dark winter ;)
I like Japan, in fact I always watch the videos of a Mexican girl who lives in Japan with her family, she says that the winter also depends on the area where you are, for example she lives in Murakami in Nigata prefecture and the winter is very long and hard there, however soon she will move to Kōbe where the weather is much better, even in winter. 😃
