Transplanting of growing Orchids 🌺🌺

in HiveGarden19 days ago

Hello I will tell you a little about my experience

Orchids are ornamental plants that are distinguished by their complexity of flowers and attract pollinators. These orchids were rescued from a garbage dump; I had to prune and condition them myself to bring them back to life.

These same ones have with me approximately 1 month and their development was fast in spite of the fact that these same plants are difficult to develop. They grew so much that the roots were sticking out from under the pot. So, it was necessary to transplant them.

We started with the purchase of replacement pots, which I was very strict. Since it was an orchid it could not be simple pots, I placed some transparent pots so that when they grow you can see the roots inside.

Then in the new pot I added a quarter of soil plus some granular fertilizer, this in order to eventually grow with great strength and vitality. In order not to generate stress in the plant, cold water is applied and it is left to rest to obtain a good drainage, the plant is extracted to be transplanted. The soil where the original plant was planted is a soil with a little coco peat and bark, which contributes to good drainage and good moisture retention, but it still lacked nutrients.

The environment in which the orchids are developing is an apartment environment, which is even more complex for their growth, so you have to induce certain aspects to generate environment. Always taking advantage of the sun in the mornings and the temperatures are not so drastic.

The pot as it is bigger than the previous one there were spaces to cover so more soil was added, an irrigation was applied to verify the drainage. The complicated part of all this is the care that is given to it, that's why I am very insistent on the complicated part.

So to conclude once drained the plant in its new pot I put a plant at the end of the pot to avoid water spills on the ground and that will stay there, in the same way taking advantage of the intense sun today to place them in the sun as well as other plants that I have. Yesterday I pruned the leaves of some plants that woke up smiling and living.

Notes:

I can say that this gardening you can apply it at any time this represents life and peace in your being. It also contributes to a pleasant environment and the CO2 produced by these same plants convert them into natural oxygen. In this way we would be contributing a grain of sand to the planet and my plants are protagonists.

I will leave you a picture of how beautiful and growing the different plants I have, as a plant lover I will show you ways to care for them, natural home treatments so you do not spend money or if you have to spend money you do not damage your plants. Between technology and plants we make a better world.

These plants are very nice, I always fail in the process of transplanting haha for me they are not easy to care for, but not impossible and contribute to the care of the planet 🌏

@elbuhito if it is true there is always a possible failure, I hope it does not happen in this case. Greetings and thanks for stopping by
