Hi, I've had my Rosemary since it was a wee cutting. It's about 2.5 years old now. A friend suggested I bring it indoors last winter. I did and it liked it indoors. So much that it grew about 6" (or so) over the winter months.
Come the warmer weather, this spring, I put it back outdoors. When I noticed the leaves, from bottom up, were turning yellow and falling off I repotted it into the bigger planter it's in now.
The Rosemary still had yellow leaves and some falling off. It was facing south to southwest direction. To be honest it didn't really matter what direction it was facing. All were the same ... no sun!
I brought it back indoors to sit on an east facing windowsill. This was during the autumn and it slowly started to pick up.
Someone was helping me move some furniture into that room last night. I ran my hand over the Rosemary and was pleasantly surprised just how much the leaves were growing back and thicker. Much to my helpers amusement I couldn't stop touching it. It actually looks so much better than the photo.
Could someone please give me some Rosemary care advice please?
Did the plant take a turn for the worse because it was too wet this year (summer & autumn)? I mean do they not like a lot of water?
If they don't like a lot of water then is it a forever planter pot plant.
Is it like the rescue greyhound I once had and dislike the outdoors? Perhaps to just let it sit on the windowsill where it appeared happy.
Perhaps a nutrient issue? Definitely like some sun!
