Hello friends of this community so gardener and admirer par excellence of plants and nature in general. I recognize that I am not an expert in gardening matters, in the classic sense of the word, but I do take care of the plants of different species that I have in the small patio of my house.
Here I take care of several species of malanguitas de jardin, cactus, bougainvilleas, crown of Christ and others. Also some fruit trees such as sour orange, guavas, apples that have not yet borne fruit, a cherry that we have already tasted extensively and a grape that is already throwing the growth guide. Although it is not about my yard and my plants that I want to tell you about, but about one in which the interest, love and dedication for the cultivation and care of ornamental plants is noticeable at first sight.
Recently, the need to obtain a little water for domestic issues _ because in the neighborhood that liquid is scarce_ I accessed the backyard of the house of a neighbor who has very little space for cultivation, and I was surprised with the amount of small ornamental and medicinal plants that this lady has managed to plant and preserve in a wide variety of containers of different sizes and materials.
As the area is small, in addition to the solutions on the ground, she has invaded the walls with her plants and pots creating a tapestry of different materials, plants and colors, in a living example of how to take advantage of the limited space to create a collection of these small crops.
I pass many hours of the day in front of the neighbor's small house and I had only managed to observe the plants that she has planted directly in the soil of her garden guarded by pieces of stone or in pots in her doorway. But I never imagined that it continued along the right side of the house with a large cordovan plant, and to the back of the house with that exotic variety of small plants that make the place a micro botanical garden.
Pozuelos, soda cans, old buckets, basins, mutilated gallons, plates, plastic knobs, and other things have served this woman to sow her plants, where you can see the predominance of taste for cactus, of which she has an excellent variety.
There are spaces in the informal design of the hanging part where the twigs, leaves and flowers of the different species are interwoven in a small jungle of shapes and colors. There are places on the floor where there is no room for any more pots because of the density of the collection, and that in my eyes acquires an additional beauty because it speaks to me not of a rigorous selective sense, but of a deep love for what is being collected, where everything is given a little place so that it can transcend.
I was struck by the large number of containers and small plants in this place, most of them hidden from the view of the passerby, and that speaks that it is made for personal enjoyment and not to impact others. It also allowed me to discover my neighbor's sensitivity to this healthy way of interacting with nature in the brief expression of small ornamental plants.
Thank you for coming with me to this small environment of love for gardening.

I love plants but I'm not happy to take care of them. I'm worse than a plague for them. However, seeing them as well cared for as in your neighbor's garden is a delight for the senses. It reminds me a lot of the patios of the houses in my town, where any container serves as a pot. They may not be as elegant as those in magazines, but corners like the one you show us are full of the same life and mean much more to their owners than beautiful flowers in spring. They are the fruit of their effort and dedication.
