A short Vlog showing my chicks growth, planning new gardens, and contemplating Life.

This short vlog was meant to be up by Easter and it was done and up on another 'video platform', however,
I had another issue getting #3speak to upload or even respond to me on Sunday (and monday this time) at all.

It is odd and I usually try and upload my Sunday vlog Saturday night on #3speak for this very reason, but this past week was a holiday and we had family down and so thus my very short vlog for Easter is now uploaded on Tuesday.

Such is me and tech.

However, it was splendid to see family again, after a 2 year hiatus of not many family gatherings for holidays it was good to have family able to fly in and celebrate.
One hopes that the coming Summer is one open for holidays and visits, but we shall see.

These times we are currently living in make each day tentative and making plans very far into the future has just become a thing rather hard to do. I'm hoping for a good rental season here on the Holiday Shores of Cape Cod, but we shall see.

A world at war and fear of pandemic and possible food shortages and other issues makes one give pause in most things. And more so, I think, the moments of joy and simple acts seem even more important.

I think that is why I have this current little brood fo bantam chicks. I just finished (after 2 weeks of hard graft by myself) making a new proper chicken run for my egg laying hens, so really having new chicks to care for and now, make a better house and run for, is probably not 'smart' but in a way it was necessary.

My plans for new veg beds seaside might be a bit hopeful as well, as it's not always the most conducive and actually as I write this the wind is battering the spot I've laid out and rain and salt water spray abound. Yet, I will still persevere and Hope and see what can be done. Sometimes the Hope and Love of a think can make it come out and that is really a good lesson not only for the Garden but for Life. Even if it seems against all odds or set to fail, grit , determination and fun along the way still makes the endeavour worth doing. A failure may still lurk at the end of it all, but if you've had fun and joy then the adventure was still worth it.

These days make the small, simple, and pure more precious. Though I've always been an advocate of taking a moment to smell the roses and watch the flowers grow, these days such things are imbued with even more importance to me.

I hope our world starts down a better path, but until then Planning gardens, rasing little chicks, and amusing oneself with drawings and making up tales to go with them are my Big Adventures for the time being.

Do any of you notice more imortance on the little things of late? Or have you always been smart enough to know how much each day can be precious?

I hope all have a lovely day and find a moment to indulge in your passions and let's hope, collectively, that a better world is around the corner.

I hope you enjoy the little update, really just showing off my chicks growth and a quick talk about my 'seaside' garden plans.

I love having chicks around. They grow up far to quickly, though! I'm trying to avoid hatching at the moment to allow my aging flock to reduce in size, instead of replacing constantly.
