RE: Starting the Year Off Right With my Favorite Plants

in HiveGarden11 months ago

I love your black pinto bean. I am curious as I know beans in general require sunlight to grow but I saw your pinto bean is growing inside? I am myself trying to grow some drawf beans and it is a success so far. I grow them in pot as well. At first, I only expected to see their purple flowers but then I have some fruits. Not much sun in my garden so I am happy with it.

Oh thanks for your tip on mixing egg shells with lime juice. I will try it for my beans as well.

Dwarf beans?! What kind? I read that dwarf varieties of plants are very preferable. It's true, they still require lots of sunlight which is why I have them on a south facing window.
If you're going to extract the calcium from eggshells just make sure to dilute the resulting mixture in some water. It was my first time so I don't know how much is too much or if it might burn the plant. Use with caution!

I might have to check the package when I am back from work today. Will let you know.

Thanks for reminding me about dilute the mixture. I will try little by little on my beans.
