Good morning, good afternoon or good evening Hive Community wherever you may be!
It's good to be back posting, we got a little delayed here between the rain and some other life issues we had to attend to. Now we are back at it and the weather is beautiful! First I'd like to share a new seed starting mix and container mix I am trying. I am using half gallon containers to measure equal parts of my mix. The mix contains two parts pro mix with mycorrhiza, two parts Coco coir, one part of a organic soil enhancer I got at a local farm which contains dolomite limestone, biochar, mycorrhizae which helps root growth and nutrient uptake, probiotics, lobster and seafood compost, kelp, peat, aged bark, blood meal, and worm castings, the brand is Sweet Peet. The soil mix also contains extra worm castings, extra mycorrhizae when seeds are planted or plants, also a vegetative fertilizer with a 6-1-2 organic nutrient formula by Roots Organic and finally two extra cups of perlite. Here is a picture
In the upper left-hand corner of the picture you will also see some microgreens that I put out in the sun to green. It is a mix of radish, kale, mizuna, broccoli and kohlrabi. They are very yummy I already ate a tray and I'm also growing them for my girlfriend as she has anemia. Many microgreens are high in iron and other nutrients!
We have also started many seeds but need to start more so far we have started kale, brussel sprouts, peppers, both hot and sweet, cherry tomatoes, zinnias, cosmos, sugar snap peas, several different kinds of lettuce, eggplant, lavender, spearmint, scallions, Sweet Basil, celery and more microgreens.
Also during the past couple weeks I was able to go out and forage wild ramps with my mother. We actually ended up harvesting them in the rain but nonetheless it was a good time and very well worth it.
We have also been busy setting up more garden beds and also @parsons86 and his genius mechanical skills assisted by myself, have set up an irrigation system that will hopefully help us with the dry season. Last year we had a drought in the middle of the summer. We are expecting or at least preparing for that to happen again as both myself and @parsons86 have seen the climate change where we live since we were children.
On my next post I will show the recipe for our live soil garden beds and the nifty irrigation system we have begin to set up. I really enjoy the hive community and @HiveGarden. I am doing my best to stay off the so-called mainstream social media but during this transition time I am trying to share the hive community with my regular social media friends to let them know there's something else out there that has value and is just different from the main stream.
I am also trying to learn about the hive ecosystem and how to use it. It is slow but very interesting and still looking for good resources to read about it. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone enjoys this post and has a wonderful Friday! Life is beautiful and so are you!

P.S. @parsons86 is on a life mission to Brew the hottest most flavorful horseradish on this planet we call Earth. He has a very special cultivar from his Polish great grandmother. Snips AKA mouse trap is trying to perfect the recipe all while attempting to not lose his eyesight or sense of smell from this incredible horseradish that was so graciously kept in the family.
