Hi, welcome to the most exciting, the highly interactive @edprivat's garden journal.
It's the end of the growing season, and I've now "abandoned ship" for more trivial occupations, like taking pictures of rainbows:
We still do the bare minimum like picking what's already has been grown, and probably will do a little bit of work in the greenhouse, but we are slowing down a bit, the kids are homeschooled, so there are tons of lessons online that we need to supervise them.
Also, we are both working on our respective projects, so it's really hard to find some time to dedicate to it. I think the potato digging really worn me out, it's really like doing too much music, there's a moment you need a break away from it.
Ed take on this: This tomato grew tiny little tomatoes in its butthole
This is a portal to another dimension
@lionmom take on this:
Potatoes war
After a week of heavy rain, a new treasure got revealed!
I had more potatoes to harvest on the top of the potatoes, I couldn't just leave them like this so I picked what was left, I am thinking of trying to keep the smallest one for regrowth next year, just an experiment.
Carrots
I was supposed to weed out around the carrots, I know...It's still doing its thing though!
If you look closer on the picture, you will notice a potato trying to blend in with the carrots, maybe it's a romantic comedy starring Julia Carrotine and Richard Spud.
Monster Cabbage
I completely forgot about that guy, he grew an entire family of himself, we eventually ate his heart, and it was delicious. Cheers to you old cabbage!
Butternuts and Wahahatermelons
I am truly happy with my first year growing butternuts, they looked healthy and huge, they taste delicious, I won the butternut game for sure.
The watermelons on the other hand, were a little bit small, but fully packed with sugar. Check out this camera movement, it's like a music video:
Green Bush Beans
We still have some more to harvest, next year I will make sure to grow a smaller patch, it feels like they never end sprouting new beans, some of them are hidden under the leaves, just pure joy to harvest, especially with the little one.
The sweetest watermelon ever!
VoilΓ , have a beautiful Sunday, what are you still growing right now? CHeers!
There comes a time when you are definitely over all the gardening. Looks like you will never get finished doing those potatoes, haha.
Your bean-picking assistant is cute!
Hahaha it's like in Friday the 13th, when the bad guy comes back to life after a heavy rain π
Thanks I will tell her that Catlady says hi, she is a cat too ^^
I like this ππ
Ow, what a beautiful post ! And how the smallest sweetheart is helping in the harvest π
The watermelons look also great, tasty even from the photo :))
Hey there my friend, how is your weekend going?
Yeah the watermelon was so good, we even ate the seeds! It's funny because I hate melon but really enjoy watermelon, in France they like serving melon with Parma ham, I am sure it's the same in Spain, right?
No, we just enjoy watermelon in itself, not serving it with ham :)
Interestingly, I never liked melon, but in the few last years I started to like it.
Weekend, well, music, practising, stuck on the bridge, and now writing a travel post where someone will be mentioned π
Lmao. This post is hilarious from start to finish. There's a lot of comedy gold through but my favorite is this gem
The music video camera work was good too. Looks like a good harvest though. Lot of work but I'm sure it was worth it.
Hahaha I am happy you got a good laugh!
Yeah lots of work; I am happy it's currently over! Thanks for passing by :) nice latest post you got
@qurator can I say "I love you"? Am I making this weird? π
Hahaha not weird at all :D
Such cool garden and awesome little helpers you have there :)
Little hobbits haha.
