Last year I even collected the trashbags full of leaves that somehow appear along the streets during fall to be picked up by the city workers. Most of them got piled up for the hedgehogs but the rest became mulch for the garden beds. Takes a little longer to decompose, but keeps the weeds down as a bonus and the worms always have something to nibble on.

That makes getting leaves a heck of a lot easier than having to rake them all up yourself. Sounds like a great situation.
