A Guide To Peakd Snaps & The Hive Garden Community Snap Rewards

We're a big fan of the Snap feature on Peakd, and we take this opportunity to encourage you to use it. It's great for quick garden content that's short and sweet, and we've been giving our 100 percent upvotes and 'resnaps' for good snaps with the #hivegarden and #gardening tags.

From December 1st, we're encouraging anyone with less than a couple of sentences to snap instead - we have a 300 word minimum in the community so we will mute micro content in the interests of getting Hivers to 'snap it' instead.

What is Snaps?

Snaps is short form, microblogging. Here's an example of a #hivegarden snap by @harbiter. As you can see, he posted about a hedgehog in his garden! He earnt .81 HIVE and had many comments. It's a nice, quick way to get involved in the community and get rewarded at the same time.

Where can I view Snaps?

You can view Snaps via your Peakd page.

You can also choose to view all of the Hive microblogging interfaces at once - whether it's Ecency Waves, Leo Threads or Liketu moments.

What can I snap about?

Many people snap when they aren't sure what a plant is, or if they have a question about gardening. Some people like to simply share a few photos of their plants. Anything garden related is fine. You can also post a few sentences which gives a better context.

You can also post a link to your latest blog, giving a short overview of what the post is about. You might even like to post something you've seen on the internet that amazes you, like the recent blooming of a corpse flower in the botanical gardens in Australia. You might even like to comment upon and add a link to a fantastic post you've read in the Hive Garden community.

Other Things to Know about Snaps

You can elect a single click upvote of a chosen percentage for Snaps, for example, 10 percent - you can find this in your settings on Peakd
Another Settings feature is that you can choose to power up the rewards on your Snaps?
