Ah, what fun!! A few creative entries certainly livens up the garden feed, doesn't it? In fact - it was quite off the planet! Thanks to those who entered.
I love the creative garden entries so much I've decided to run a challenge EVERY week, inspired by other communities like Cinnamon Cup Coffee who do the same. It's certainly great to have some writing inspiration across HIVE, isn't it?
Last week's challenge already has been and gone - keep an eye out on SUNDAYS for the weekly challenge which lasts for FOUR days til (Sun - Thurs).
DON'T FORGET YOU HAVE MORE THAN TWO PROMPTS TO CHOOSE FROM - SCROLL DOWN TO GET THEM ALL! Just make sure that you note at the bottom of your post which prompt you are responding to.

The Entries
Imagine if Earth had 'many bugs had become monstrous with fatal stings as a result of GMO modifications and deliberate weaponization by the sociopaths' and became so terrible that there were no more herbs! And then imagine going to another planet and finding the motherlode of PARSLEY - what joy! @owasco's entry reminds us of what is so precious to us and must be protected at all costs.
I rushed into the forest to find the forest floor covered in a fragrant and dark green leafy understory that called out to me to be eaten. Perhaps unwisely, I stuffed my mouth with the stuff and chewed delightedly. It was delicious! No ill effects from my first mouthful, so I went for another. And another. Bliss! I hadn’t tasted anything so fresh in my life. I grabbed as much as I could hold in my arms, and hurried back to the settlement to share the great news – an edible green!
@riverflows was a bit more bleak. Whilst there was a few more edible plants being culvitate on her planet, the terror snails and space monkeys quite likely meant the end of humanity as we know it.
Lucky everyone else was more positive, imagining beautiful worlds and incredible ecosystems.
@multifacetas also wrote a beautiful story of hope on a new world, where her gardeners struggled through challenges to create a veritable Eden on a new planet. Wouldn't it be great to have the chance to start again? What a lovely story of hope.
Planet X becomes a refuge for our lives and our flora and fauna, which would be the rebirth and gradually achieve repair the serious damage caused to our beloved planet Earth.
This photograph was stunning by dear @ivycrafts.
She wrote:
As the seasons passed, my garden flourished, its vibrant colors and fragrances inspiring life to a once desolate landscape. I learned to adapt and mutate plant species, fostering resilience in the face of the planet's unique challenges. As the garden grew, so did the diversity of creatures that visited. Whimsical pollinators danced from flower to flower, creating a vibrant melody, while strange insect-like creatures scampered across the ground, their vibrant exoskeletons glistening in the sunlight. Through it all, we realized that this planet had its own delicate balance. By cultivating our garden, we played a vital role in coexisting with the native flora and fauna. We became stewards of life, custodians of symbiotic relationships that ensured the survival of both our colony and the planet's unique ecosystems. As the years passed and the garden flourished, I marveled at what it had become. From a barren expanse, it was transformed into a world of abundance, a sanctuary teeming with life. Our garden was not just a means of sustenance; it was a testament to the resilience of life and the unwavering spirit of our citadel.
It's really amazing how all pieces showed such a deep love of nature and the importance of curiousity, balance in ecological systems, resilience, passion - and despite the dead earth left behind, great hope that we can do things better and differently.
This Month's Winner
*It's always so hard to decide, but I was quite awed by @achil's creativity, imagining trees that fruited so fast that everyone had food and could be so healthy all the time, and their skin would glow and childbirth would be painless! She went to great trouble with a drawing and a picture of glowing fingers! Congratulations, @achil, and keep up the good work on HIVE - you are valued! You recieve 75 percent of the post this week and you should have the 2 HIVE in your wallet already. *
Second place goes to @nara61 with your beautiful philosophising about ecological balance. Us gardeners KNOW this is so important, and you put it so well. You would have recieved your 1 Hive last month already - please let me know if you didn't.

We know that monsoon is the best time to plant new saplings. For example, even though the monsoon is over, it still rains more or less every day. Especially when it rains, the soil is soft. Any plant planted in this soft soil has a higher growth potential. And the soil has plenty of juice. Moreover, regular rainfall also helps the plants to grow faster. We know another name for water is life. For example, if there is no rain in the desert area, water is not seen. But we are different in Bangladesh. Then, due to some carelessness or mistake, a healthy, strong and good seedling is planted at this time, but within a few days, it becomes weak and dull and starts dying slowly. Therefore, after planting the tree must be blocked with poles. When the root of the tree rots, the tree dies. @gardenhive Thank you so much for presenting us with such a wonderful contest. Also, I thank you again today through your contest, we can advance our own experience. I wish you the best. Have a nice healthy life with your family. I hope you will also plant trees and keep yourself strong to protect the environment. Best wishes sir.
