The seed order supervisor
On Tuesday morning I was up at 4:30AM as I had a lot to do before I left at 7:15AM for the dentist. I got the post up, a shower, pulled up the shades and had almost finished the kitchen. I just had the 2 sinks to clean when I got back.
I had a different dentist this time and I’m not exactly sure what she did that was so different, but the insurance covered it. I don’t know why the other dentist hadn’t done the same thing on last Thursday afternoon. An extra trip for nothing.
I got home at 9:30AM just a minute or 2 after my helper friend had arrived. I got the sinks cleaned out while he started taking things out of the island. Then we wiped or scrubbed each cabinet inside and out, dried it and put stuff back before moving onto the next one. We worked our way around on all sides. He took the trash can up to the bath tub and cleaned it while I scrubbed the area it sat in and the floor under it.
Next we took everything off the top and scrubbed that down. Then I climbed up and got the light fixture cleaned up. We had an hour left so I decided to do the small counter by the copper sink.
We did the same thing to these cabinets and still had ½ hour left, so we did the lazy susan. None of these cabinets had been cleaned since they were installed in 2020.
A lot of the dishes on the lazy susan needed washing, so I tossed them all in the dishwasher, except the white rope one. I’ll wash that on Wednesday. Once we’d cleaned up, we sat down for lunch.
There were several goldfinches and a red finch on the feeders. The red finch, all you can see is its tail. The goldfinches lose the bright yellow in winter.
After my helper friend left, I sat down to try to finish the seed orders. I only had the flower one to make up as I’d finished vegetables and herbs on Monday.
Next came the fun of placing them on the computer. Fedco had 3 things not in stock, and I was able to find 2 of them with other companies. The 3rd, arnica, I found at a company where I’d already placed an order. I had to e-mail asking if the single packet of seeds could be added or would I have to do another order. Not got an answer yet.
I got 9 orders placed and quit at 5PM as I was too tired and making mistakes.
So these are the 9 that got placed. I’d completely forgotten to do the Pinetree order, and there’s the arnica. Who knows what kind of mess I will find when I resume on Wednesday morning.
I got a call from my neighbor and they plan to hold exercise class on Wednesday. But the van driver said the fumes were so bad in the Town Hall the employees planned to leave by noon on Tuesday. After 3 bouts of Covid, I’m not risking my lungs in that. So I will wait until the air has cleared out.
I also have to clean up the kitchen, putting away the washed dishes on the lazy susan. I’ve finally got birdfeeders to fill before noon when it starts to rain. And seed orders and the mess from that to finish up. It’s to start raining, so a gloomy cold day and fires going all day.
I need to clean my dusty cabinets one day! Too many tasks waiting to be done, and time seems to be running short.
You cope very well with all the tasks in the kitchen and planning for your garden! I am glad my garden is much smaller than yours!

These are just for our use on the homestead. I don't sell at this time.
No local store that sells seeds?
On a side note, issues with hivewatchers have been solved, it's all fine now

Is it possible for the dishwasher to wash any plate of any shape or not all?
Pretty much. But there is a size limit, they have to fit under the top rack and not block the spray arm.

You are making huge progress in the kitchen. One of these days I will get to mine before spring arrives. I got my seeds in the mail yesterday and that is it for this year, well, you know how that goes. lol
Now I just need to re-organize them all.
