On Sunday, I spent a couple hours on the bills/budget in the early morning and just rested and watched movies the rest of the day. On Monday I got the kitchen cleaned up, laundry started, and went to exercise class. In the afternoon I spent a couple hours working on a new parts list for the washer and fighting with computers/phones/ipads to try to send it to my contractor. Mostly I rested and watched Gilmore Girls in the afternoon.
I had checked the seed trays on Sunday afternoon and discovered all the water I’d left in them was gone, so I refilled them. The tops of the pots were dry, so nothing had sprouted. It wasn’t until later in the afternoon on Monday I checked again and this is what I found.
Mesclun is so satisfying to grow because it comes up so quickly. These were planted at noon on Saturday and were this high by mid afternoon on Monday. They would have been up on Sunday had I kept enough water in the trays.

On Tuesday my helper friend is here at 9:30AM. I need to clean the kitchen, finish the laundry, and I hope to get a bit more done on the bills/budget before he arrives.
We have seedlings to tend, houseplants to water, chores to do, and he has errands to run. I’m not planning to finish the living room Tuesday; I’m just not up to it. We’ll do it on Thursday when there’s more time.
I’m hoping my brother and I will be going to see the Bob Dylan movie, A complete Unknown, late afternoon on Tuesday. The warmer weather is here, along with rain for the next 4 days. Then cold over the weekend and supposed to be 50’sF all next week. We’ll see…
Oh I really want to see the Dylan film too. Did you know I'm a Dylan fan?
I think you might have mentioned it at one point or another. I liked some of Dylan's stuff and loved Joan Baez up to Diamonds and Rust.

You could manage to get so many things done in one day. It’s so good to have a routine for going to exercise classes. I need someone to drag me to the gym.

I hope it doesn’t mean they won’t grow well, right?
If you start seedlings inside, they need plenty of the right kind of light. Light from a window is filtered and not of the right duration, so plants will lean to it, making them weaker. They also need the correct temperature that they prefer to start and grow in. And they need to be kept moist but not soggy. If you can consistently provide these things, the plants should do well.
