Sunrise

On Sunday I was up at 5:30AM and got the photos edited and the post up. I was out in the Small garden by 7:30AM when my #2 intern was to arrive. She didn’t actually arrive until 8:15AM. I had cleaned off the east side of the garden, again, and was putting mulch down. She helped finish that up and then we got the 2 tarps down on that side and the wood on them.

Next we got the leaves off the west side, took the wood out of the truck and the remaining hay bales, and headed for the barn.

She had to leave by 9:45AM so we got another load of 20 bales in the remaining 7 minutes. I started mulching the west side and managed to get it done by noon.

I took an hour break for rest and lunch. Then I was back at it by 1PM. I was racing the clock and pushing the limits. There was rain forecast for Sunday night and it would knock off tons of leaves.

I finished the Small garden just before 2PM and headed up to get the mower at the barn.

I still had 2 hours of mowing in the yard to do. The leaves were getting too high for the old mower to handle easily. If they got wet, it would be horrible trying to get them up.

So I spent 2 hours mowing them all up and finished at 4PM.

The afternoon light was gorgeous so I got a lot of photos of light and color.

I was so exhausted but by the time I got the photos and a shower, it was 5PM. I ordered out some supper and was in bed by 8PM.

On Monday I’m supposed to go to the exercise class, but I doubt I’ll be in any shape for that. I have laundry to do and the kitchen to clean up and I should start the bills/budget mess… but I need a brain for that…

Sort:

Well done! That’s a lot of mowing in one day. You got everything ready for the coming rain. You’re an Iron Lady! I would have collapsed after three hours of solid work.
The autumn colours are coming along! Time flies

I wanted to! And I spent all day yesterday recovering, and am not in much better shape today...

Hope you have found some time for recuperation and good rest.

Some people get bored because they don't know what to do and look haha, everything you've done in one day xD

You’ve done so well and congratulations to you for completing your tasks
The sun looks very beautiful
Good job!

You really have a great day but hope not stressful

Do you get tired although? I so much love your strength for work. Kudos

This is a very beautiful view
I love that cute rabbit too
It’s a little cutie

You have such a great place, very beautiful. Why do you mulch when you have not planted?

So the weeds don’t grow over the winter. Plus one should always keep the soil covered, one way or another.

Very beautiful place

You did the mowing work really well and also the gardening. Your dedication to gardening is commendable and thanks for updating us on how it went yesterday. I sincerely hope you find time enough for but the chores and exercise class, both are important. Don't forget to prioritize your health and take lots of rest. Have a great day.

Wow.....exhausting work, but with great satisfaction of having achieved the objective in the small garden and cutting the grass. The wonderful thing is that you were able to get the photos of all the work done in the garden and at 8 pm you were already in bed for a happy rest.

Happy afternoon. Success.

I loved the Sunrise giving the trees those colours.
