That's cool. I wasn't surprised about the prickly pears as I had a friend from SK and when she went home for xmas, her mom sent her back with some prickly pear jelly and she sent a jar to me too.
I never knew the name of the pussy toes but we have them in northern BC too. I try to keep the local plants going too but in our tiny yard it is hard. Wild roses and Saskatoons are the biggest we have and luckily we can eat them.
Wow! I have not heard of anyone making prickly pear jelly! I am going to ask around.
