Amazing Drinks recipe ideas for the perfect summer.jpg

If you often read my posts in the garden journal. Have you ever seen spinach? Besides lettuce, water spinach, kale, pakcoy and mustard green. Spinach is not one of them. However, this time I am bringing back spinach that has not been seen for a long time.

It's not because I don't like spinach in my garden. That's not the reason. There is another reason that you might understand. This is about how I have a hard time bringing spinach to my hydroponic garden. I really like spinach, its sweet and soft taste when just boiled is already a favorite of our family. Isn't that right?

I once tried in 2024 to plant spinach. Initially I sowed it in various planting media, until finally I gave up. I couldn't make them survive, from seeds to seedlings. I gave up and finally didn't try it again after a year.

Then, someone offered me a seed that I had never known, and finally I tried to plant it. After 2-3 weeks, the spinach finally grew well. There are some that are different but the uniformity is around 90%.

This makes me very happy. Very happy, like getting an unexpected gift. This year is special to welcome Eid because there will be an interesting menu, namely spinach crackers. Usually we make spinach crackers from our hydroponic results.

You can see how this spinach grows well, from the roots to the leaves that are so green and look very fresh. There are no yellow parts due to lack of sun or wilted due to being exposed to direct sunlight too often. The stems look very sturdy and are not attacked by pests. In my opinion, this is a process that is not easy but like getting a lucky draw.

One of the reasons why I really like hydroponic spinach is its different taste. I don't know why, hydroponic spinach has a very soft texture, it seems that the spinach stems are very watery because hydroponics comes from water that is given special fertilizer.

And this is what happened in my garden today. when the harvest will arrive soon, the estimate is 10 days at the latest, and of course this is only enough for our future stock. So, it will be harvested when you want to eat it. But don't worry, this will only last for 3-5 times of cooking. Which means we won't be buying spinach for 1-2 weeks.

It seems so simple but something like this is priceless!

That spinach looks amazing! Good thing I was able to see this and see what other appearance of spinach in different country looks like. It looks different from the one I grow in my garden. 😍
