What's wrong with the mango tree? I don't know what happened, but it seems like there's something wrong with the mango tree I have. After one round of flowering, fruiting, having lots of leaves, then the leaves just dry up. It seems like something happened..
Has the dry season arrived? I thought, but strangely, the sun keeps shining and never ends. Summer still happens, although sometimes rain comes to flood the earth. Of course, I don't want to lose one of the best trees I have in my garden. I often tell stories about how the mangoes at my house taste so sweet and have the best quality.
A little suspicious and curious about the disease that occurs in the mango tree. But I hope my guess is wrong. Because I have lost 1 mango tree that has been uprooted. So, I don't want to lose it a second time. This time I anticipate root rot, so, at least I've done something.
I pruned some leaves and stems that had started to die and dry. My father said that this had to be done so as not to worsen the disease, I'm not sure that root rot is the cause. But what is clear, between disease or the upcoming dry season.
There are many branches, leaves and tree trunks that I pruned on this mango tree. My garden is very messy because it turns out that there are so many damaged leaves and branches. It is not visible from a distance but when I saw it directly, I was surprised that there were so many dry leaves.
My father helped me to prune the branches of the mango tree using the machete that we have. We don't have sophisticated tools but the machete can help me to cut down some tree branches. I must have spent quite a long time because I used simple tools. It seems like I have to buy a special saw to cut tree branches. At least the cut parts can look neat.
There are some that are damaged due to failed stem cuttings too. But never mind, later I will cut again if this mango tree is starting to get healthy and the leaves are starting to grow a lot. Besides that, I also gave some fertilizer that I have at home, I added some hydroponic fluid that I usually use. It does look strange but I like to water some plants at home with the remaining hydroponic fertilizer, and it works quite well.
In addition, I also checked some fertilizer needs in my garden, along with watering some hydroponic vegetables to make them look fresh. The weather today is quite bright tending to be very hot, so that there are some leaves that start to wilt during the day. but, uniquely in the afternoon approaching night, they will stand up again. Like being charged with lots of batteries.
I know, having a small garden is not even easy to manage, because we cannot control how plants and nature grow. They are living creatures just like us, also have problems in their lives. But, at least the commitment to keep them growing well starts from the beginning when we have them.
Call me Isdarmady, because I have a full name that is very long, namely Isdarmady Syahputra Ritonga. I am a head of the family who work as Farmers Vegetables Hydroponic and Consultant Hydroponics, sometimes I also sell coffee from various regions in Indonesia.
