Greetings Hive gardeners,
It's been a while since my last garden post and today I'll be updating my garden since we are hit by the Typhoon 25 days ago.
This is where most of my vegetables are planted like my spring onions, lemon basil, ginger and the survivor eggplants that I share last November that almost died because of spraying too much detergent as a pest repellent and in December they were all struggling from the super typhoon that has passed and destroyed most of our crops. Most of them are laid in the ground because of the strong winds that had blown them and the trees and branches that covered them after.
After finding the time to clear the debris I was able to let them stand and began to cultivate them again.
As we know when times like this almost everything will change. We will experience scarcities just like now in the market vegetable are getting pricey so as soon I had the time to recover my plants I double-time my effort so I can save in the coming days, good thing that I was able to save some seeds and some had withstood the typhoon and that some of them I grow more for the future.
After and before
Here is where my okras, string beans, spinach, moringa, sweet potatoes, and lemongrass that presently striving after seawater have reached them.
The upper photo is recently yesterday I made some supporting fence for my new replaced string bean seedlings for the vines. I'm also drying the mature okras pods for a new seedling and happily, my supper food moringa is showing its healthy green leaves.
Lemongrass - I cut the dried leaves in the hope that a new leaf will rise and luckily it has progressed already.
Newly planted spinach, water spinach and sweet potato tops.
ginger and spring onions are growing nicely now.
And for the second time, my eggplants are surviving gratefully even though it has been so hot because only a few trees are left as you can see the super dried soil they seem doing fine and I see more flowers are coming again 😅. Hopefully, for the second time, it will be successful finally.
That's only for now. I've been saddened since the typhoon crashed our home and my grandfather had passed recently.
I spend time entertaining myself by replanting and it's effective. Hopefully, I can recover from all of this as soon as possible because life must go on. 🙂
Thank you for dropping by and Have a Happy New Year. I hope you're doing well.
I love your spirit, you are not giving up no matter what. It is a good thing that not all of your crops are destroyed. Magandang gabi sayo kabayan.
Ganyan dapat kabayan 🙂 Pinoy kasi tayo.
Buti nalang talaga may natira. Magandang Gabi din sayo kabayan 🥰.
Tama ka kabayan, iba talaga ang pinoy.
Sorry to hear life has been tough. I am sure everything will grow back soon. It's such a symbol of hope. I'm glad you could save seeds. So sorry about your grandfather.
