Hello, Hive Gardeners,
It's another season of garden updates and I'll be showing you some improvement of my garden.
It has been raining here a lot this past month and my plants are rejoicing it.
And here is how they doing.
Tomatoes
My tomatoes are quite doing well they're healthy and I can see fruits already and a lot more coming their way. Mulching it and putting those bamboo sticks helped me a lot, especially from those chickens that keep on destroying my plants.
sharing with you my tomatoes beautiful flowers
Spring onions
I keep picking those spring onions for my dishes and so they're decreasing but guess what they keep growing back. Good thing when I pick them up I only cut them. Can you spot new sprout leaves?
And because I like spring onions and how they thrive in my place I planted more of them on recycled pot.
Here's how I made it
From the empty water bottles which were donated after the typhoon. I cut them into halves and made some holes at the bottom and fill them with soil, sawdust and rice hulls and planted one stalk each. After 11 days here's the progress.
A lively green leaves came out
Eggplants
Those eggplants are attached by red ants again and most of the fruits are affected by it but still provide enough harvest for healthy soups.
eggplants flower
This is the new member of my garden I took this from the garbage. I transfer it before it is too late because whenever it bears it's a fruit I know everybody will claim it.
Lemon basil
Lemon basils flowers. I'll just need to wait for it to turn brown and they're ready for new seedlings.
String beans
I had planted many of them around my place and I already harvested its fruits many times so I shared it with my neighbours since it's producing many fruits and they easily get matured.
See its beautiful butterfly-like flower.
And also I spotted these heart-shaped leaves.
And of course, I wouldn't forget to have a selfie but excuse my face I just woke up and immediately went for a harvest for our breakfast.
The rest of the veggies are growing well thanks to the continuous rain that help them develop.
left: water spinach and sweet potato tops right: moringa, native chillies and bell pepper. I'm working on my spinach and okras for new seedings soon.
So that is my monthly garden update. Thank you for reading this I appreciate it so much and I hope you'll stay with me for my next garden improvements.
Thank you @riverflows for initiating this wonderful challenge. Now I'm inviting @chuch to show us her garden update and @afterglow, How are your tomatoes going now 😁?

Wow, everything seems to have grown so fast. I grow spring onions like that too... It's so fast. Great to see you recycling those donated bottles. Live the selfie... for someone who just woke up, you look great x
Thank you so much for the compliment @riverflows 🥰. It's really great to have a garden where you can get food for free.
Isn't it? It's like we are secret millionaires when we get free food! Only a gardener knows this joy. Again, I love reading your garden journal and seeing your happy smiling face!
Right! Thank you very much again @riverflows🥰.
Nice selfie kabayan, I love the spring onions in a water bottle. And thank you for the mentions. Have a nice day ahead (^_^)
Thanks, Kabayan 🙂. If you can find time don't forget to show us your garden 😉
Nice, the tomatoes flower looking so good! You said it's been raining continuously?
Thank you. Last week it was raining continually but now it's sunny already 😊.
It looks like rain and humidity indeed have played a great part in the vibrant green color that all your plants have, really fabulous. I also adore spring onions, so you gave me the idea of planting some myself too in bottles like you did, so I will try.
From the heart-shaped leaves to the butterfly-looking flower, everything tells a story about the fructiferous and rich soil that you are on.
Never apologize for a selfie, I can imagine that thousands of human beings would feel so envious to wake up and look like you, so young and healthy.
Best wishes I hope you continue to be wonderful.
Thank you so much for the appreciation @cesarj21. Gardening is my happiness and sometimes it takes more effort to gain accomplishments. How about you, you do gardening also?
You're welcome, and yes! I also shared my garden journal for the challenge of March. I am not such an expert gardener, more like an apprentice, but I enjoy sowing things and taking care of plants.
Great! Nice to know that. I'll try to find it.
Have a great day 🙂.
Whoa! You have a lot of plants in your garden! Glad the rainwater is doing them good. The string beans are awesome too! I tried planting them twice but they didn't thrive well, perhaps it's just too cold here.
Thanks, they really don't thrive in cold weather perhaps they like when it's hot. They produce much fruit.
I believe so. Yours are amazing. Thank you and enjoy your weekend :)
Thank you. Have a great day 🙂.
I think I'll pay you a visit to learn more. Your garden looks amazing! I'm struggling with the pests (ants, grasshoppers, leaf miners, etc, the orange thingies on the squash leaves), I feel like I have to camp out in front of them to get things under control lol.
Haha. Thanks for that ma'am @discoveringarni. I also experience everything with that but I used to smash them with my hand every morning so maybe some of them are afraid. Now my problem with that pest lessen. 😂
Haha, so that's the secret. Oh please don't call me ma'am. Arni is fine.
Yes, so you don't have to do camping 😁. Okay, next time @discoveringarni.
Love seeing all that growth - you have quite a productive garden - good to see!
Thank you so much for your appreciation.
