In this post I show the process of the preparation of the Neem macerate, for this the following is used every day:
In previous installments in this community, for being the right one to share my experience in my small garden, I show how my lemon plant presents certain diseases, with the suggestions of the friend @abneagro, fulfilling them step by step, the response towards the suggested care has given response.-1/2 liter of Neem macerate
-1 liter of clean water
-1 tablespoon of detergent powder
-Spray bottle atomizer
The procedure, for each half liter of the macerate, one liter of clean water, add the powder detergent. Dilute everything very well, place in the sprayer, start the task with the daily application.
The change was noticeable after the third day of application. It started on 17/02 to 23/02/2025.
Each day, one earlier than the other, the application was carried out. Once the work was started, it was first applied on the reverse side of the leaves, where the contamination of the scales was very strong, and then it was applied on the front side of the leaves.
After a few days, it was possible to observe how the leaves were cleaned of the black color on the back of the leaves.
This procedure was simple, natural and unhurried. Being a citrus tree, they are usually contaminated in this way.
However, I must not be careless. It does not mean that the macerate was applied and that's it. On the contrary, it is necessary to be attentive to it. Do not be careless.
In relation to the Neem macerate, when I took it to the plastic bottles, I thought that it would not be enough for the seven days that the treatment was foreseen. On the contrary, each day at the end of the application I left the preparation for the following day...of this macerate there was about a liter and a half left, this quantity is close to three more days of application.
Another suggestion that was given to me has to do with the use of potassium soap, a product that has been a little difficult to find...there is also the suggestion to prepare a soap with ashes, the whiter the better according to the revised tutorial.
There is a very noticeable difference since I started this project, it looked very bad, its leaves were very infected and the load of lemons were not advancing...these days the ones that were more advanced in their growth have fallen very clean and beautiful. The small ones have not fallen any more, I consider that we are doing well from what I see in it.
With some of the lemons that have fallen I celebrated with some lemon flavored cookies using the gifts of the plant.
Another thing is to constantly check the plastic covered part and keep it with the grease intact to prevent ants (in my case, because I have no ants) from climbing the plant.
Nature provides us with everything, even the medicines to heal, as in this case with a natural product prepared has been of great benefit.
