So strange- I've just joined hive today. I grew up in Kommetjie! What tiny world.
I'm also into gardening and whatnot- Live up the Garden route now. That unknown plant of yours looks like it could be a White Stinkwood (Celtis africana) or maybe Grewia occidentalis. Pretty sure it's a stinkwood though! May be the chinese variety, Celtis sinensis

Wow! Well welcome to hive. I joined in January and the key is being consistent and commenting on blogs. So well done!
We loved to Kommetjie a year and a half ago during lockdown so it was a lonely move with everyone in their houses in winter. But now we’re quite happy and settled.
So I guess that tree might get quite big if that’s the case 😳. I’d rather plant a fruit tree in that position so maybe I’ll take that one out. I’m a jam maker so having my own fruit is wonderful!
PS. You should do an #introduceyourself post using the # and then folk can welcome You to hive. Basically tell us about yourself, hobbies etc and in the heading you can call it “My introduction to Hive” or something similar. Pop me a message on one of my posts if you have any trouble.
Thanks so much, I will do that... Yes that Stinkwood can get pretty big! You could bag it up and put it elsewhere or give it away, they're really beautiful trees.
