Winter Work in the🍎 Orchard

in HiveGarden3 days ago

Hello Hive family.I hope you all are healthy and enjoying this winter season to the fullest.

I am busy with my orchard work as usual. Today I am going to share with you all the work happening in my apple orchard.
Winter is one of the busiest times of the year in which many important tasks have to be completed before the spring blooms. After the moisture from the snow, I am using cow dung manure near the apple trees. This natural fertilizer not only improves the fertility of the soil but also strengthens the health of the apple trees.

Along with applying cow dung manure, I am planting new apple saplings on my vacant land. Planting new saplings is not just a task but a symbol of hope and continuity. This work is taking me a lot of time. I have made a hundred pits in which I am planting apple saplings these days. My days are long and tiring, due to which I do not get time to write blogs on Hive.

Apart from apples, I had sown peas in the month of December. They have now started sprouting and growing. Peas are not only a nutritious crop but are also beneficial for the soil. They fix nitrogen in the soil, which enriches the soil for the next crop. Watching them grow gives me satisfaction. Winter season is a time of hard work and hope.

You know, that’s one of my biggest mistakes. I managed to sprout an apple tree and grow it to about 30 centimeters. It was healthy, but because of my ignorance, I thought it had died when all its leaves fell off. I uprooted it and threw it away. Later, when I studied more about it, I learned that it’s actually normal for apple trees to lose their leaves seasonally. I felt so sad when I realized my mistake. ='(
