The flowers in these photos are owned by my aunt.
Actually, their house is filled with many kinds of flowers and their garden is very beautiful, that's why I love to go to their house.Actually they have good soil around their house . so , in their garden can easily grow any type of flowers easily.
This post mentions the photos taken when I visited their house.So the special topic that I am talking about with you today is the types of flowers that grow in water. Aquatic plants are actually plants that grow in water and do not grow on land.
We can use aquatic plants for garden decoration and home decoration for beauty purposes and wedding cermoney..
Today we can see many unique and diverse types of aquatic plants.Some aquatic plants are expensive and some species can be obtained from lakes ponds and tanks without spending much money.. For those of us who live in Sri Lanka, we can see the most beautiful water aqutic plant views in Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and the coastal areas.
Since Sri Lanka is a country close to the equator, these types of flowers that I mentioned can be grown well and quickly.Also, if you live in a tropical country or village, you can easily grow this type of flower.
These photos that I am showing you today contain blue lilies ,white lilies, kumudu and water lattuce.
I will not explain about it separately with you because both these types of flowers are same because you can plant both these types of flowers in the same way.
Both types of flowers that I will show you today have the same characteristics and some types of flowers that grow in water have different characteristics than these types of flowers.
The blue lily flower is known as the national flower of Sri Lanka and this can be introduced as a very valuable flower for our country.
These flowers start blooming in the morning and bloom best in the afternoon and this flower gives off a very sweet smell that attracts bees.
These flowers are very fond of the sun and can be bred well in a muddy place with good sun
You can see from these photos how much these flowers are blooming in the afternoon.You can see how beautifully these flowers have bloomed in the afternoon.
Also, these waterlily flowers can be seen in blue, white, pink and yellow.And different types of lilies can also be called Bangkok types.

Now the type of flower that I am going to show you is about a small type of flower that blooms in water, which adds a lot of beauty to the garden, similar to the flowers that I have shown before.This type of flower is called Kumudhu in Sinhala and water snowflake in English
This type of flower, consisting of five petals and white in color, can be introduced as a very fragrant and very beautiful flower.You can see different types of Kumdu flowers in Asian countries and European countries.As well as the beauty of these flowers, they can be introduced as a very high medicinal value flower.
I can introduce the this flower that I am showing in today's photos as a naturally growing flower that is native to Sri Lanka.This small flower type can be easily grown in a very small pot or other pots.You can get a lot of flowers per day from this type of flower which has a really beautiful appearance*.
Actually this type of flower can easily be grown in small pots with only water without fertilizer.no need fertilizer and muddy soil.and Small insects can introduce this type of plant to small bees as they need these flowers for pollination.
This type of flower, which has a large number of flowers blooming throughout the day, can be introduced as a type of flower that blooms in the morning and fades in the evening.
Water lattuce
These are plants that always float on the surface of the water and do not need to be planted.It is only necessary to put this plant species in water and it can soon be introduced as an invasive plant species.
This type of plant does not need any special fertilizer and this plants can growing quickly.
There are many different types of these plants known by different names and these can be seen mostly in homes.These plants consist of a large number of special roots and the roots collide with each other and the plants multiply.This plant can be shown as a very useful plant for protection from sunlight for fish living in ponds.
Let's see how to make water lily flowers grow in water
Get a pot that is smaller than the pond you are using for growing flowers.
🌷It should be about the size of a small ice cup.
🌷 First, add the mud from the field to the pot.
🌷Second, add compost to it.
🌷Mix well with compost.
🌷Plant the blue lily.
🌷Now add sand on top of it.
🌷Adding a layer of sand can quickly reduce the turbidity of the water. (muddy look )
🌷Place the pot in the center of the pond you are using to plant the plants and slowly add water to it.

I grow water lilies at home. I was lucky I had an aunt and co-teacher who specializes in Agriculture who gave me these water lilies and taught me how to care them.
