My Sweet Balcony Chili Peppers // @oli1965

in HiveGarden2 years ago (edited)

Hello dear community, for a long time I was about to check if sowing some seeds of any fruit or vegetable would grow in a garden but in the balcony of my house since I live in an apartment, as you understand there is no soil on the floor, nor the sun hits the plants directly and you have to water them with a container every day.

I was cooking and I said to myself I was going to plant these sweet chili pepper seeds as we say here in Venezuela to the chili pepper that has a very penetrating smell and that gives an exquisite flavor to the food.

I took the seeds, which are quite a lot, and I will tell you that I threw them in a pot that I always have on my balcony and what I actually did was to water them. I like plants, in fact I have several on the balcony of my house, but I had never planted a fruit or vegetable plant.

The truth is that after about 15 days many small plants started to sprout and I said to my daughter "It can't be ajie! hehe I was amazed because I thought they would never gro

I started to water them every day, and as they are on the balcony the sunlight did not penetrate much I thought they would dry up, but no I think it was more the love and affection that I showed them to see them grow that they had no other choice but to continue growing and start to come out the flowers of the peppers to become fruits.

I was too happy every day in the morning when I saw them, it was a joy for me to see how beautiful they were growing and that soon I would use them to season my meals, actually I love the sweet chili pepper because it has as I said an exquisite smell and if you season your meals with this ingredient I think you won't need another one.

I didn't want to harvest them haha I wanted to leave them in their plant, what I did save me for a short time is to buy them since here the kilo of sweet chili pepper is expensive and well I already had it from the table to the consumer. Besides the fact that sowing and harvesting at home is not only fun but also allows us to conserve the planet earth and now with the global warming problem that we have, it is necessary to sow ourselves.

The sweet chili bell pepper is a type of small green bell pepper that turns orange and then red if left long enough on the plant. Besides being delicious and providing a special flavor to food, it also provides countless health benefits. It contains large amounts of vitamins A and C as well as magnesium and potassium. fuente

So if you live in an apartment, don't be afraid to sow your seeds in a pot with good compost, water them and give them lots of love and care to see them grow and enjoy their fruits. The sweet chili bell pepper is a basic flavor of Venezuelan gastronomy, present in all kinds of sautés and stews, providing not only flavor, but also a characteristic aroma.

Saludos y bendiciones familia

I don't like chili at all but I'm glad to see a good harvest. Mother nature is generous.

Hola @erika aquí en mi país Venezuela el ajie dulce no es picante jeje tiene un olor super exquisito y le da las comidas un sabor umhhhhh delicioso. Eso eso la naturaleza es algo especial, Dios no se equivoco al crearla. Bendiciones.

I tried planting chili peppers months ago because of our project in our school but sady, they just dried up and died. huhu... Do you also use some kind of organic fertilizer?
