Imagine stepping in an urban household and you get to see a lot of fruits and vegetables hanging from the plants on the pots, flowers on the side of the narrow walkway. Wouldn't it surprise you? My mom's garden always brings this surprising effect to me no matter how many times I visit here.
My mom says everyone can produce something at home if they have the will. I have seen her produce fruit in a small bucket, strawberries in a broken cup, and more. Her saying is very true: We need the will to make it happen.
Would you believe me if I claim, this papaya plant is growing on a small crack between the walkway and the wall of our house? And look how much it's growing. The fruit didn't come out very sweet. But who cares! It's the pleasure of the eyes and heart to see the healthy growth of the papayas.
On her terrace, she is growing hog plum in a small pot. And believe me, this one is so sweet you can eat with the skin on. I was blown away because hog plum is usually a sour fruit.
Then comes the lemon that she produces for the whole year around. The plant is so healthy-looking and produces more than 20 at a time.
Brinjel!
This is a special winter edition. There were already a few and hopefully, this will provide enough for the rest of the winter.
The purple cabbage and the green grapes are on the upcoming list. Hopefully, they will be a good produce too.
Last but not the least, this surprise.
Sugarcane on a pot! And look how beautifully it's growing. They may not be as sweet as the farm one but it's the satisfaction to make it happen, the achievement that matters the most.
My mom's garden never fails to amaze me. Every year, during every season she adds something new to her, and surprisingly they grow beautifully.
In an urban setting, on the terrace, beside the walkway, in small pots; it feels like a miracle to me that this gardening could happen.
I wish I could see her homesteading forever.

😍. Very nice
A lot of fruits are there. Send me the location and I will seal those from the place. Just kidding. !LOL
Those pictures reminded me that my grandma used to do gardening when she was capable of doing it.

Such a lovely garden
Everything looks so good
Isn't? I love visiting my mom's garden ☺️
What I love most about your plants are the grapes and eggplants. Grapes are wonderful to grow and nurture, especially with the help of organic fertilizer to ensure they thrive beautifully.
They are a new addition and didn't fruit yet. Your words gave me hope. :)
Don't worry. Grapes naturally take a long time to bear fruit and flowers. When the leaves fall off, leaving only the branches and stems, this marks the beginning of new leaf growth, flowering, and eventually fruiting. =)
Your mom has an amazing garden, my grandparents used to have a lot of fruit trees and plants, there is only one kakis left because I think they didn't want to take care of them haha but it's nice to be surrounded by all those fruits 😍
I totally can relate. lol
Sometimes, what we leave behind is not cherished by many but by us. :)
