OH I didn't know borage was good for tomato plants - I'll have to look into that! I just planted some borage seeds as for some stupid reason I don't have it in my garden. Good you have some mild weather as you tidy up and take stock. We may even get a November post from you yet! How nice do the pot marigolds look against the tomatoes! I grow calendula to eat and for medicine but I'm told it's the pot marigolds that are best for soil nematodes.

Apparently, from what I've read, the Mexican marigolds are the most powerful against soil nematodes, and the French marigolds are almost as powerful. I think that those varieties are the ones that get tall. I'm not sure what my marigolds are, but they might be a variety of the French marigolds.
