Today I will tell you a little about how the journey of the cactus plant that I have grown in front of the house. When we hear the name of a cactus plant, we will always think of a big and thorny plant, right? yes true !, but have you ever seen a small cactus plant? small cactus ornamental plants that can be cultivated anywhere. The cactus that I put in this bucket is actually a long time ago I haven't seen it, but even though we rarely serve this plant, such as watering the plant, it doesn't die easily, very different from other plants.
Various Names of Ornamental Cactus Plants
◆ Mini Astrophytum Cactus
This ornamental cactus has a unique shape because it looks like a star or star fruit, this cactus is quite easy to flower. The flowers are of various colors, some are yellow, red, and pink. Meanwhile, the stem is shaped like a ball. If you want to see the Astrophytum mini cactus flowering quickly, we can place it in a room that doesn't get too much sun exposure.
◆ Mini Ariocarpus Cactus
This type of ornamental cactus has prism-shaped leaves, some with curved, blunt, or pointed ends. In addition, the Ariocarpus cactus has large flowers that are almost the size of the stem and come in a variety of colors, such as purple, white, pink, yellow and red.
◆ Mini Ferocactus Cactus
This cactus looks hideous with its curved and rounded stems. The spines of this cactus are red. In addition, the spines of the mini Ferocactus cactus are quite large compared to common cacti. Even so, this type of mini cactus is still beautiful in the eyes of plant lovers, especially cactus plants.
◆ Mini Cephalocereus Senilis Cactus
The type of mini ornamental cactus Cephalocereus senilis has the nickname of a cactus like an old man. This is because all parts of this cactus are filled with long white hair similar to the hair of an elderly person. However, this ornamental cactus is no less beautiful than other types.
◆ Mini Cactus Echinocactus Grusonii
This type of mini ornamental cactus, Echinocactus grusonii, has a barrel-like shape and mostly comes from Mexico and Texas. This cactus is very often referred to as the golden barrel or golden barrel.
How to Plant the Right Ornamental Cactus
•Use the Right Planting Media
Caring for ornamental cacti in the first house can be done by using some pebbles that are used as the base for cactus pots. This is so that the pot has a good drainage system. After being given gravel at the bottom, then we can enter the planting medium which has a composition of soil, coarse sand, and charcoal powder.
•Don't Water Often
This type of cactus plant basically has a water supply stored in its stem. Meanwhile, the root system of the cactus is also quite simple and has a small number of roots. Therefore, we should not give the cactus too much water, because it will cause the cactus to rot and die quickly.
•Put it in a Dry Place
So as much as possible to put the cactus in a place that has dry temperature conditions, considering that indoors usually have fairly high humidity conditions.
•Do Not Expose to Direct Sunlight
For this we need to slightly cover the cactus pot from the direct sun rays, we can also cover it with other plants next to it
•Changing Pots
Like other living things, the more mature the age of the ornamental cactus, the more the need for nutrients will increase. Therefore we have to change the pot about once a month.
•Fertilizer Routine
Fertilizer functions in providing these nutrients for cacti. The types of fertilizers that can be used are actually quite standard, such as compost, manure and many other suitable fertilizers.
I'm here because I haven't seen this cactus plant pot for almost a month, I have to clean it from the top of the plant to the bottom of the pot. Above the plants are very dirty because we cover them with other plants so all aspects that are released on other plants will fall on this cactus like leaves and others, you can see from the picture below

I love to grow cactus but once I grow them in my back yard and that verity of cactus had a lot of Thorns on it and whenever I touch it surface all that thorns inserted in my hands and it was very painful so I pulled out that plant out of my garden but some verities it is of cactus. are nic
too bad you, maybe outs and mates with this cactus are your hands bleeding?
I once planned to "buy & sell" cactus, sadly, and as of now, it has not come to fruition. I hope someday I can make it true.
